Finished the semester, drove back home excited to at last greet my PS3 that has been collecting dust since possibly january.
I attempt to turn it on.
YLoD. With the AC: Brotherhood cd inside.
Motherpineappleing piece of pomegranate! AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
There. Done with the internal screaming. Now to figure out what the pineapple am I going to do with this shiny and overpriced paper weight. Should've taken electronics back in high school.
Finished my first day at my summer internship today. Worked 7-8 hours, a bit tired as fk, but feels great man. I now have something I can focus on during the summer. Hopefully this will be my "foot in the door"/"breaking out" opportunity. :f2:
(For those that want to know, I'm interning for a congressional campaign. The candidate that I'm working for is challenging the incumbent in my congressional district in this upcoming fall general election. While it is true that incumbents have the money + name recognition advantages - among other things - hopefully things might turn out differently this time around)
Bryan, its okay. Never, EVER feel pressured to drink. Especially with your medical condition, you have a 100% legitimate excuse not to do so. I mean, I never drank before, and have resisted pressure from others to drink during my first year of college.
You have the right to make that choice on your own free will. Never let others pressure you, including friends. I would never be close with people I consider "friends" if they pressure me to do things that I have strong objections about.
loooooonelyyyyyyyy heeeeeeearts cluuuuuuuuub
marina has been stuck in my head all day.
Finally finished with the huge audit I've been dreading for the past four months. No longer working 70+ hours a week. Commence hibernation.
7hours and 8 friends later,

That isn't a problem, though. No one pressures me after I explain my situation (although my doctor says alcohol does not interact with the medicine, they don't need to know that ). I have absolutely no interest in alcohol, either.
My problem lies with the fact that 99% of parties revolve around alcohol and getting "pomegranateface drunk." I have no interest in going to parties like that. No one just "hangs out" (without alcohol) anymore.
As for college, I have always been under the impression that people won't be spending that kind of money to get drunk and fail out of school (although many people do). I'm just hoping there are other people like me who would rather do something fun that doesn't involve drinking.
I've been invited to grad parties on facebook. In the description, it literally tells people to bring their own alcohol.
I can't wait to get out of high school.
Oh yeah, also found out one of my good (asian) friends played Maplestory. He quit when potential came out :f3:
Party drunkards tend to be first-second year students that are having their taste of freedom or that haven't grown out of their HS years, so I wouldn't worry. After second year you will start worrying about other matters and won't have the luxury of being drunk... well at least not as frequently.
Third+ years are people preparing for undergrad research/internships/whatever depending on area of study. So eh, I would say the party drunkards are a minority. Heck, I bet there are more animetards and gamers than stereotypical drunkards. Yes, I've witnessed hordes of animetards watching anime in a room slaughtering the Japanese language. *shudders*
Of course, my experience might differ because there are no campus dormitories where I go, the majority of the people live in "apartments" (rented/shared houses) so the city is pretty much a student city. No need to hang out at pops/bars to socialize with other peeps of your own age. I guess it also depends on the people that attends the campus overall though.
Anyway, make sure you enjoy college. Those four-five years go by extremely fast. Plus they are expensive as pineapple so you better enjoy it. lol
Finally done with the my first exams/tests/midterms, however you call them, I want to choke a peach.
Also now a long assignment and a lab report left to do :|
My mouth :\
I'll be less irritated with work once I get my paycheck I think
One more year of HS to go. Now to be a semi-useless piece of pomegranate all summer!
Dropped my planned summer classes. Yeah, I could use those two classes to catch up a little, but I could also use a summer to myself where I'm not constantly worrying about classes.
Music Matters Live 2012 at Clarke Quay was freaking awesome. Natasha Duarte was there, BTOB of course, DJ Clazzi, Drunken Tiger and Tasha, MIB, Rhythmking and J.Kyun < naming those who performed for kpop night out.
