Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
I mostly just skimmed through this thread so I'm not sure if anyone's brought this up, but I think Unlimited came with a pretty good meso sink.
The new scrolling system lets us combine five scrolls together to get a new, random scroll, and I've been messing around with it to get some pretty decent stuff. I got a few glove attack scrolls and other semi-rare scrolls that I have issues getting in the free market. Nothing of endgame quality yet, but definitely something a casual player could use, and there are scroll merchants all over the place to get crappy scrolls to combine. Factoring in the randomness of the rewards, I can see some players spending a rather sizable amount of mesos on this.

Really? So you could use 5 scrolls that cost 35k from an npc and get a random scroll, maybe worth millions?

Nope. All my 100%s I got became another 100%.

I got 1 60% out of like 10 tries.
Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
I guess it's not as viable as I'd thought, but it is a nice way to get rid of junk scrolls at least. I have a ton of them from various event boxes, and now I don't have to just drop them. Not only that, but maybe people will actually buy junk scrolls now when I put them in my shops to fill up unused slots.

It's automatic on all equipment dropped after the update. The flame things are only for equipment before the update. But the main point is that without using it, you aren't on par with the buffed bosses and stuff. It does affect people. Just look at the dojo ranks to get the idea of how it goes.

Why should people be able to go away for months and expect to do everything they could before again?

If you found an equip with additional options, it wouldn't be untradable- only when you chose to apply the flame of reincarnation. Even if your weapon/armor was flamed with additional options, it would be tradeblock on equip. Not automatic.

Additional options alone wouldn't get you far at the bosses at all, never mind Dojo. I think you need to go back and read my post.

I don't see how adding additional options would be, at all, harmful. Last I checked... the vast majority of Maple is not funded. The gap between the rich the poor is currently a gaping chasm, to which many would want to fill- even if it were by an inch or two. In addition, you must consider that many player's gear consist of nontradable gear from the get-go (be it Empress, Tyrant, Root Abyss, Sengoku... the list goes on). While I do not deny that players with tradable gear might not be interested in switching over to the new system of additional options, it wouldn't be crippling if they chose not to. From what I've gathered... the boosts listed from KMSers' experiences... the most these boosts would provide is something in the ballpark of 3% mainstat/ 1-7 attack. You wouldn't lose much if you stuck with your gear un-ao'd; it'd be as if nothing happened (or, what we have currently, anyways). And by the way, we do not live in a perfect world. There will be those who choose not to partake, this system is not by any mean 'perfect'. What I'm trying to convey is that additional options would help to combat the buffed bosses. If anything, if players who didn't want to utilize the system, why not party up with someone who did?
I am not willing to continue to do full scale debates today, so ill just pick some points.
The point is that it isnt a perfect would and even if it was it doesnt work like that.
The point is that people who are funded will still use this system, many wont, some unfunded wont and some will. This does not change the gap. It simply adds restrictions. Unfunded and funded alike are affected.
I dont think that a system is good if a large amount of the population is held down by it rather than lifted up because it makes things untradable.

I myself am equipped with full empress, along with other untradable gear. I can understand now, how I could have been narrow-minded, and you opened my eyes to that. However, if you state one side of the argument (such as not wanting to otp-in into the system), and feeling that it's unfair, you must also consider the people who have nontradable gear. How would it be any more fair them without the system, than it would be to those with tradable gear with the system? Would that not, on the same token, be considered 'unfair' or 'selfish'?
I dont understand where you're going with this, but ill say this. People who wear untradeable equipment or PSoKable equipment are generally people who willingly chose to get the best possible equipment for themselves with the possibility that they want to fully gear another character without the same equipment or have the NX to switch over PSoKable equipment a lot. People with tradeable equipment lack the full strength of someone who uses certain PSoKable in favor of being able to freely move it between multiple characters. This destroys that entire element unless that want the gap to widen between them, and PSoKable equipment is affected as well.

What good is a system a large amount of people, unfunded and funded alike are not keen on using in the first place? It isnt like a town. It would be extremely hard for anyone to sway aside from it and enjoy isolating themselves from it.

You can't flame equips that you find after the release of Additional Options, only the ones released before it. Furthermore, only 140+ equips that drop after will have a scissor limit imposed, so for example, if you could find a 30 stat level 100 top or something, it'd be completely tradeable forever.

If you aren't willing to discuss this and yet reply to my post anyway... what was the point of replying. Look around you. Do you really see hundreds of people walking around in tradable equips? As stated before, many people have moved on from their level 110 and down gear to things like Empress, Tyrant, RA, Sengoku, tempest accessories... I can understand if you have cubed gear and wish to move them through the account. And that's fine. The boosts obtained through additional options are small at best; I hardly think the commute would be as 'held down' as you say they would be. And even if it didn't make a dent in the gap between funded and nonfunded... it'd be a step towards filling it.

First off, I'd like to state for the record that I have never touched a Platinum scissor. And there's nothing wrong if you wouldn't want to opt in to it. I will say this once more, no one is forcing this system down your throat. You aren't going to get things like 30% boss and 12% mainstat on your equips. It'd just be a step in the direction of preparing for the buffed bosses.

So far, I've only see you and a select other people who aren't in favor of this system. And it wouldn't be impossible to pass up additional options- not at all in fact. For example: many people in the past grinded at places like LHC, Jesters, etc, because of their bloated exp rates. It was highly recommended on a good number of guides that you train there- so much so that those places were packed on all channels? So... what did I do when I found myself in need of leveling? Not go to any of those places. Ever. Many people jumped to bonus potentials when it was released, and many people began cubing their gear like crazy. Did I pull out my hair and follow them? No. My point point is, if you were to choose not to go with additional options, then it's no sweat. The boosts were not godly in the slightest. Or at the very least, not worth going crazy with envy.
Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
If you think 7 attack and a hefty boost in mainstat across nearly any kind of equipment and boss% isnt a big boost, i dont know what a big boost is anymore.

I just read Max's blog, and while your points aren't too accurate (flame of reincarnation is only for old items for sure, and new ones are just like old ones with a flame used), I did find this one interesting:
Quote:
For items that were initially fully tradeable (like a weapon), it will also become untradeable on equipping. However, when the item is equipped, you will need to use the new Silver Karma Scissors. They are available through in-game means, you do not need to buy them from the Cash Shop~
I'm suddenly ok with that. IF those silver scissors are reasonably obtained, and NX-free. This way, an item is more valuable the less trades it has gone through. This encourages people to scroll their things, and reward them better than buying and trying to sell for a higher price. Because since one trade went through, the value would decrease. It'd make the FM have less hoarders.
Not that bad of an idea if done right. But NX shouldn't be involed in terms of trading items anyway. Why should you pay to trade things you already earned anyway? It's already bad that NX-only scissors exist in the game.

Now that i could fight it, this dudes a troll though.

I could have done this a lot faster if i hadnt faltered so badly until i realized i could still 1hko the fire walker from the platform though. I met up with some real bad RNG and crap. I had to do it like this for two bodies, and until i did this method it was healing like mad so i spent an extremely large amount(1/3) of time on the 4th body. I also spent a lot of time trying to get those hit screenshots for my friend tugboat :f3:

I guess this is one good thing for me that came out of the patch.

Costs 20m from any NPC shop, or like 5 Unlimited Winter Coins (which are Unleashed Coins for us)

I've only seen atk/matk on equips which are over 90, and not all that much (as far as equips that don't come with them already, I've only seen, max 3, atk or matk on shoes, gloves and overalls). My Eagle Eye Dunwitch Top is like, 5 matk above, with crap other additional options. They're distributed in some way, or hitting the jackpot of additional options is... well literally like hitting the jackpot in rarity, I'm pretty sure. I haven't seen anything with +60 to each stat and +10 atk or anything like that. The one thing I saw with +60 stat was an Eagle Eye top which had pretty crappy other stats.
The tiny amounts of boss damage (going up only to the lower double digits, maybe 15% max?) you can get on weapons will probably increase your damage by very little, if you have a lot of boss damage and total damage already, but it's probably not negligible.

Ugh... 20 mil.'is a bit too much, but as long as they keep the alternate ways to get it... But I don't trust event-only content. In the end, future events cease to include them.

Speaking of, what's the deal with Bits?
Is it even possible to get bits/bit cases outside of events? >_>

I don't know, but give it enough time and there will be perma bits and bit boxes. Though it did take them forever and a half to finally release a perma badge that wasn't stupid retarded hard to get.
Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
Lol okay. Debate on additional options.
Currently here in msea, we can trade "flamed" tradeable gears as much as we can without the scissors even though the "scissor notice" appears on the gear. Not sure whether this is a bug and whether they are going to fix this. There's no clarification at all so far. Typical Moneysoft. I only flame my completely untradeable gears so far, afraid they fix it :f7:
The best additional options on weapon that I ever saw myself from item megaphone was.....clean 213 MAtt ele staff (which is 33-35MAtt higher than the average). What the hell? This is like the old item with nearly 7x10% scrolls pass. The best I ever got myself are +20MA above average staff/rod. For other stats, best I've seen myself are 6% boss damage, 3% all stats.
I heard someone getting +20WA on empress weapon as well. That's like...wow. So lucky.
It's not easy to get a lot of extra WA/MAtt on weapons though. I haven't seen more than 10MA increase on my pre-unlimited staff before. Probably it has something to do with my rotten luck :f3:
But don't you guys have nebulite system? Shouldn't this be helping with the boss changes already? :f6: We don't have that system here. I don't think KMS has it either?
