Coveral Wrote:Am I missing something or is there no Mileage included in this patch??? Is it coming later or did Nexon say they won't implement it?

To be fair, cubes dropping from bosses at a reasonable rate would eliminate the biggest thing people would purchase with that aside from scrolls but they're also in the shops and such.

v.143 - RED: First Impact Update Notes - Part 2 - Alex123123 - 2013-12-04

Huh. That's a lot of stuff to go through. I might recreate my (still a)Crusader and see how things are bit by bit.
Btw, are Evan skillbooks still obtainable through the cash shop only? I haven't been keeping up with GMS updates, but last time I checked that was the case.

v.143 - RED: First Impact Update Notes - Part 2 - SaptaZapta - 2013-12-04

All the laggy NPCs being put in one map is all nice for making towns navigable, but that one map will be impossible for many of us to use.
That means that if there is any event that requires actually talking to the NPC in that map (as opposed to through event notifiers on the left of the screen), we can't participate.
I hope they don't put event shops in there, for example.

Or made some short cut to talk with those NPC...

Pretty sure it's confirmed that they Did put the shop there.

The fact that they won't be updating every second * how many npcs update every second * how many towns they're in should help make the entire server less laggy. They'll just be updating every second * how many npcs update every second.

Takebacker Wrote:How convenient. The post above yours destroys your only reason.

Yeah because the mods said so right? What purpose is it to keep the S nebs for test purposes? My hunch is coming to fruition so I feel good about S nebs being implemented too. It's like gambling. Hard to stop when you're on a roll. I'm also tired of your high and mighty passive aggressive attitude. Only reason one needs to be passive aggressive is if they're cowards or they know their reason for dislike is baseless and fail.

Lemniscate Wrote:You should check the subreddit for Fallout right now. They make him seem like a lobotomite.

Not only do you mess up my gender but you insult me by calling me a lobomite just because i'm hyped about potential upcoming additions. Get a life. Same goes to the rest of you haters lol.

CarrionCrow Wrote:Well, you can't really be that stupid in reallity, so it must be trolling.

Yeah because being positive about something that is highly likely to be released is stupid.

I dare all of you scrubs to state how i'm being stupid. Is it because you have a generic dislike to hashtags? Is it because you automatically assume those who use them are stupid? You know what they say about assumptions so watch yourselves lest you become the idiots you so shun. Or maybe it's because you guys are sour you ee'd your gear and want to attack the master strategist? Who knows.

Come at me. Keep feeding me pomegranates scrubs. Acting like a care. I actually like em irl.

"Town lag" isn't server lag, it's client lag.
Your client is going over those NPC's scripts trying to decide which animation to show, over and over.
A room with all of them is just as laggy as a whole town (the room in Aquarium which had them is both example and proof: that small room is laggy, the big town outside is not).

Believe me, i want S nebs just as much as you, but translating your desire for it into "this is a fact" despite not having any actual evidence doesn't make anyone take your side.

And thank you. <3

Mine is as well.

I am going to give this an extensive test on my spare lowbie computers to see how well it works. So long as it allows us to keep our channel when we go to the new Hall, it should probably be less laggy than you might imagine.

it's because all your proof is conjectures, and then there's the little flamewar you're starting with these posts.

simple as that. oh, and S-rank nebs have been used by GMS testers for a looooong while, they're still unreleased however. you can be positive all you want, just don't mistake your positiveness for a fact.

and my gear is all unenhanced and unnebbed, just FYI.

How's that gonna work?

Because they're garbage and greedy and wanna make the price go up so rich people can still only afford it lol.

Channel has nothing to do with it.
That little room in Aquarium with the 3 NPCs is laggy on any channel, any time of day, with no other players or monsters anywhere on the map.
I hope they also cleaned up their scripts and this new area can be used by weaker comps, but I am not optimistic at all.

I just hope they actually remove the NPC's from towns and not just turn them invisible.

The channel factor is present because of other Mirror maps such as the Party Quest room where it always puts you on channel 1 with EVERYONE else. As long as it doesn't do that for the event hall, then there is a chance it could be better (assuming they cleaned up some of the NPC scripts). That's all I was getting at.

I can confirm what you said is 100% true,. I have this very problem on my desktop but not my laptop even though my desktop is better lol. I used to have to go to Aqua every time I needed to talk to them. =/

v.143 - RED: First Impact Update Notes - Part 2 - xparasite9 - 2013-12-04

Quote:A new Smart Mount feature has been added.

--The Smart Mount allows you to conveniently auto-pilot around a number of regions in Maple World for a small fee.
--A special flight permit is required to use the auto-pilot outside of Victoria Island, Ereve, and Rien.
--All flight permits are permanent and don’t take up any inventory space.

The following flight permits are available from Instructor Irvin.

--El Nath Flight Permit: 10,000 mesos
--Ludus Lake Flight Permit: 100,000 mesos
--Aqua Road Flight Permit: 500,000 mesos
--Minar Forest Flight Permit: 2,000,000 mesos

A special Smart Mount is required to use the auto-pilot. The Smart Mount is currently sold exclusively through Instructor Irvin. The following can currently be rented:

--Floaty Balloon Mount (2 hours): 20,000 mesos
--Floaty Balloon Mount (1 day): 200,000 mesos

--An auto-pilot button has been added to the top of the world map window when viewing a region that is eligible for auto-pilot.
-- A blue button indicates that you already have a flight permit. A red button indicates that that you need to buy the permit for that region.
--Clicking on the auto-pilot button will allow you to talk with Instructor Irvin. You can get additional information about Smart Mounts, buy Smart Mount flight permits, and rent a Smart Mount.
--To use auto-pilot, the Smart Mount must first be equipped. The Smart Mount can be found in the mount inventory by clicking the blue mount button in the skill inventory.
--After equipping the Smart Mount, open the world map and double click on the map you would like to travel to. If used on a map in a different region then you are currently in, auto-pilot will take you to the nearest station.
--Auto-pilot cannot be used if a Hyper Teleport Rock is currently in your inventory.

So it's legit travel botting. Whoo.

Um, how fast is it anyway?

They should still be the same... though, depending on how the inventory's gather/organize buttons work, I would probably stay away from using them.
