That gives an entirely different message however, specifically stating the level is too low.
The lock is checked before it even gets to the level and rejects it.

Gives a different message.

You did it as I was typing that out, so nyah.
Forgive me. I'll be the first to say that I was taking out some frustration. In my right mind the post would have been less harsh, but the message still the same.
I bought the eternal item locks by the dozen knowing Nexon would be idiotic and remove them at some point.
Ended up intending to use one on both my maplemas and versalmas hats because they were about to expire and accidentally did a stirgeman pants instead with the last one. Broke my heart that maplemas will be forever preserved in my inventory when versalmas is the far cuter hat for me.
well maybe a lvl100+ locked item can be eaten, never know until you try
Wow, when were the maplemas hats released as a temporary item? I still have a couple of versalmas hats from 2007 that were permanent...
And thank you for testing that. Ever since that time where I saw that removing an item lock (via request) before the lock expired would turn a normal equip into a temporary one, I wasn't sure if Nexon used their head when making imps.
I just fed my imp a scar (dex) unpotted helm last night just to see what would happen (all thanks to me getting curious last night). It happily ate it.Quote:
this is nexon lol i dont trust anything till theres proof, but anyways who would feed ur equips to an imp anyways
And I would have gladly bought an item lock to test, if NX were stil 1k/3m like they were in 2008.... 9 mil for a 3k item was nothing back then...easy throwaway $ with how easy it was to make meso....
@above; Both hats that came from the xmas events were permanent, never temporary. I think Eos means the locks were about to expire so he had to use them and decided to lock the Maplemas & Versalmas hats.
And now a guildmember was hacked and lost almost everything. It is to bloody annoying to loose people because of Nexons dumbskullery, not to mention I have lost any interest in doing anything in MS.
Nexon updated their password section on the site. Before when you would change your password it would only have one text box to enter your password. Now it asks to renter your new password. Not a huge change, but its a sign nexon is fixing their security undercover. In addition to that before if you clicked the text box it would show what password you previously typed in now it only shows "***" Plus they added the reset your account link on the bottom after the facebook verify link
Because typing a PW twice is a security improvement.

Just in case anyone was curious, someone on one of the hacking sites is selling off about 15 hacked accounts.

Its a change right? I know its not that BIG, but hey they might be doing more under hood that we cant see. Also didnt you find it weird that when you go to change your pw it showed what the pw was when you click the text box? Nexon is the only site i have visited that showed the password you changed in plain text. Maybe the hacking will die now seeing that they are changing stuff up a bit.
I went to check and I found the OP's name hilariously ironic.
IGN of the DrK is iUnExpected
My friend was hacked today. Because he gave out his info and his ex-gf hacked him because they broke up two days ago.
Spoiler
BTW, is there a limit to how many times you can change your password per day? I remember it used to be like 3 times/day, but I'm not sure how it is nowadays. No idea if it does any good (or bad), but I've been locking and unlocking my account for so much time already...
