Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - MasPan - 2009-12-09 mrcowcow Wrote:So really, I have no life and I've already made myself a 60 Spitfire Build and a 60 Ranger Build. Viper/General and Desperado of course. Both PvE. Anyways, I created a 60 Launcher/Wrecking Ball PvE build with absolutely 0 experience about them; just bits of information I've gathered every now and then. The important thing is not Cannon Ball, it is Quantum Bomb, which is also almost entirely % based, but has a humongous modifier (something along the lines of 3000%). Hand Cannon mastery raises your base attack when using a hand cannon, so it can have a dramatic impact on CB/QB if maxed. With the level 70 cap and new weapons, this of course means even more base att, so even more again with HC Mastery. The higher levels available to us, the more HC Mastery stands out as an increasingly useful skill. Even most of the other Launcher skills still have a small % modifier in them that can benefit. Having a really strong cannon also contributes greatly to the skill. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Zephyr - 2009-12-09 Remember with the new lvl 70 cap, you also get extra SP per level, and extra levels per skills, so i doubt that even then you'll have enough points for hand cannon mastery... i could the wrong though. PS: Ice wall from ele's will be freaking sexy with an added lightning effect <3 i should make one Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - MasPan - 2009-12-09 Zephyr Wrote:Remember with the new lvl 70 cap, you also get extra SP per level, and extra levels per skills, so i doubt that even then you'll have enough points for hand cannon mastery... i could the wrong though. Ghost Step for Soul Benders gets an added % chance of being invincible when attacked even while not dashing. We get a second Saya that can create icicles and throw them at enemies, and a modified Tombstone that turns all enemy attacks to Dark (VERY useful considering our massive resistance to Dark, and EXTREMELY useful against Battlemages (who generally ignore Shadow Chaser, meaning they'd be unable to generate chasers until the effect wears off). Our other passive is stupid, it allows Bremen to reduce physical as well as magical defense. Which is pointless because Soul Benders use only magic attacks for actual damage, and in a party you probably won't need to be using Bremen that often anyway. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Providence - 2009-12-09 Why are so many Claw Brawlers complaining about class changes in the new patch? What's being changed? Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Jedward - 2009-12-09 Anyone else having lag problems getting on? What? Why? I am confused as to why this is (or why you think so). Am I missing something about this skill? We (Battle Mages) generate Chasers based on certain skills we use landing (Neutral = XXX; Light = Uppercut). Why would attacks being changed to Dark prevent Chasers from being created? Wouldn't it just...change them to Dark? Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - MasPan - 2009-12-09 FelixTM Wrote:What? Why? I am confused as to why this is (or why you think so). Why would attacks being changed to Dark prevent Chasers from being created? Wouldn't it just...change them to Dark? Ah, my mistake, I wasn't thinking clearly. For some reason I was on the thought process that it was the element of the attack, not the attack itself. My bad. Still results in attack damage done to me being reduced by about half due to amazing Dark/Shadow resistance. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - FelixTM - 2009-12-09 Infection Wrote:Anyone else having lag problems getting on? I just tried getting on and it worked perfectly. Last night, however, I couldn't get on at all. It wouldn't load any channel. I ended up giving up. Alrighty, MasPan. You had me worried/confused there. lol That would be nasty to come across a skill that could lock our Chasers out. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Zephyr - 2009-12-09 I doubt it affects chasers too, otherwise it would be TOO broken against BM's... Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Zephyr - 2009-12-09 MasPan Wrote:Again, I was thinking weirdly. Sorry, the simple though of making my favorite class USELESS against a specific class scared me ;o; Anyone else here plays BM and is experienced in pvp? I'm having some serious problems against some classes, specifically Spitfires and witches... well witches not that much anymore now that I've learnt that if you hold quick rebound hotkey you remain on your knees and invincible... that made the combos of my brother's with useless xd Also, punto wave dissapointed me, i though it was some kind of awesome sonic blow like attack... its not... its just a lame 6-10 hit thing that stuns the enemy, has super armor, and the final hit has an incredible range, problem? the stabs don't deal more than 3xx per hit, and the final swipe is probably like 1-2k... Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - mrcowcow - 2009-12-09 Last night Nexon took down all their games while doing some hardware update. They posted a notice on the DFO website AFTER 7:00 p.m. PST that they would be finished by 7:00 p.m. PST. I think they took it down though. That and i'm too lazy to go over there and ask.. i might just check youtube... Usually I just to off angle and try to get them to use crosshairs or something so I can upper into my combos. Nothing really different. Witches are a different thing. What I've noticed is they get a longer range, so if you clash with a frontal attack, they're juggling you. I try to go off angle and get behind witches when they land then upper into a combo. Still pretty tough. They also have their aoes @_@ Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Zephyr - 2009-12-09 Lol DnF translated wiki:
Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Spaz - 2009-12-09 Zephyr Wrote:Sorry, the simple though of making my favorite class USELESS against a specific class scared me ;o; It's not punto wave, it's SUPER ELECTRIC BOOM, and it's the second half of the sword+boom combo. Too bad we don't have TEH SUPER SWORD yet. Quote:Spitfires are just like regular gunners, except if you get in their range of their regular atks, you're screwed. So true...All I have on other gunners is fire bullets (which I don't always have time to activate if my opponent is pressing me), crossmore (amazing y-axis range), freeze grenades (not a lot more useful than normal grenades as I'll explain) and napalm (which only has a realistic chance of hitting after a knockdown). I've switched to using regular grenades instead of flashbangs in pvp because the regular grenades allow me to follow up with a BBQ whereas I find it difficult to get any more hits after landing a flashbang. My flashbangs don't electrocute often because it's not as high as it could be - I messed up my skill build early on and I have level 7 punisher, level 2 mine, level 9 aerial file. I am really hoping for a free SP reset but I'm not optimistic about getting one. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - xSonyx - 2009-12-09 New EX BM skills aren't OMGwtpHAX like some of the other classes but the good news is that they probably won't be nerfed like asura's new ice wave. LOL ONE HIT KO'S IN PVP? WITH FULL X AXIS RANGE? LOL. Anyways, full swing gets pretty big except it burns a chaser without getting the buff :/. I cried at punto still doing garbage 600-1k hits per stab and then LOLwtp71k damage. Wonder what that does in pvp <_<. Link from dfosource if anyone didn't catch it. http://zoome.jp/trent1203/diary/25 Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Jormungandr - 2009-12-09 xSonyx Wrote:New EX BM skills aren't OMGwtpHAX like some of the other classes but the good news is that they probably won't be nerfed like asura's new ice wave. Can't wait to see it =p Definitely excited about new full swing and punto wave. I'm at lvl 30, I feel like I basically have all my skills except for punto wave and meteor dash, which I won't be spamming anyways, so just gonna keep practicing pvp. |
