When I was facing Migs, I switched into it when I anticipated a thunder wave, it worked.
It could have swept his whole team after, outspeeding even his choiced Typhlosion. (He rage-quit)
And yeah, you may want to replace it.
Can't exactly say with what though.
If you don't quite make the cut for a leader, I'll be more than happy enough to give you my badge, unless you'd want a rematch, minus the Electivire.

I Flamethrower'd Zerks Lucario and it held on with what looked like 1 Hp then it got burned.
