Well if you think about it the only way for them to close the gap between the rich and poor is to make ways to get rich not reliant on methods that involve spending riches right? Only way to do that is to make cubing available without work, but then you f'uck over those who already put in the work. So how do you introduce cubing professions and meso:maplept conversion without your funded player base leaving? You introduce an environment where you need to be strong to do well so that the strong are happy, and then make it ridiculously easier to get to that point so the weak are happy. Doing it in reverse to make the average person happy would easily backfire.

Not...really. Shining Ray is a legitimate attack these days, and with the current envrionment, it's not that difficult to OHKO things that aren't undead.
The problem before was 40-70 because of Heal. That's where Clerics basically had to go to the Chimney, because there just isn't anything else affected by Heal at those levels anymore. The excavation site just doesn't spawn well enough, and Wraiths got lowered to being 1st job monsters. Getting to 60 still kinda sucks, but it's not that bad overall, and once you get Shining Ray, making it to 100 and Angel Ray isn't a problem.

Well, you never know what funded players can do. They CUBE additional potential till they get crazy stats. I know someone who cubed his eq's additional potential 100 times already YET still stuck at rare rank. Did he still continue? Yes. Crazy people. And you guys know how ridiculous Asiasoft's cash shop item pricings are, right? :f3:

What is the Union key used for?

The daily quest that involves killing Krexel for the Union Key. Actually, I don't know if the repeatable quest wants you to kill Krexel or get the Union Key, or both. But either ways it doesn't matter because Krexel is such an easy boss, provided you don't DC. I have like 5 Union Keys sitting in my inventory now.

Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
Just reached level 100 on my newbie Cannoneer, and got to try out both the alien quest-line and visited Masteria.
Alien Quest-line is pretty lame, it literally got me from level 90 to 91... and the boss is impossibly hard for no good reason. You do most of the quest-line before even touching the 5 or 6 maps that have Alien mobs in them, and none of the quests involve using those maps in any way. Seems like such a waste, I suppose you could train in those maps (and I know people did before the nerf) but there's no other good reason to go there, versus going anywhere else (Example: Pantheon and it's quest-line).
Then there's Masteria + CWK... just as useless, if not even more so, imo. There's no quests for 100-120 at all, just a bunch of maps with various monsters in it, and a PQ at the end (but I haven't actually tried the PQ itself out). I believe I remember people saying that they like CWK's PQ, so really they could just add that to the Dimension Mirror, and take away the unnecessary trip over to Jack. Once again, no real reason why you would bother going to this area, I was hoping that when they changed the monsters' levels to 100-120 that they would also include some kind of quest-line to make it worth your time ._.
I definitely hope that our current CWK isn't going to stop us from getting KMS's Theme Dungeon based on it ._. cause that would be a shame.
(Seeing us have both 'Fantasy Theme Park' and 'Fantasy Theme World' existing concurrently gives me hope though <3)

How many times you can beat Krexel per day?
Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
What I would like to have, is official Nexon word about the Dojo changes. Are they really intended? Or a slipped unfiltered content? How about the others that were buffed? Are there any plans about player power increase like kms did with additional options? Or is this a money sink? Because I haven't seen the top 50 filled on Dojo yet. If that's not cash elitism, I don't know what is.
That hinted monster PVP thing may hold answers, but I am completely starving to know. And so is everyone else. Because the "Unlimited" we got is quite different from what was promised.
EDIT: Well. It seems they updated the patch notes.
To me, they removed content by making it impossible for me. Dojo? Out. Empress? Out.
I'm regretting having spent 10$ when I first heard about the direction of the game... Fool me once, Nexon. I'm not going down that path.

Here's my two cents on a couple things from this patch.

Except it only kept your rank and only worked on A/B-rank levels, hence it was effectively useless.

It didn't keep a line unchanged, just its rank. So it was useless.

Once. It's also just killing Krexel, no need for the key, unless by some freak coincidence one Krexel dropped three keys (because I have two in my invent atm).

Yeah, sorry for misinformation, you don't need the key for that quest.

This repeatable quest (which requires 1/1 Krexel) gives 7.5m mesos. Seems to be on 24hr cooldown.
Also gives ~72k exp and 30 random potions.
Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
The first day or two of the patch I was excited beyond belief because of the new level cap increases and the boss changes.
..and then I realized yesterday at 203 that there's actually nothing I can do other than slave away at Twilight Perion forever (or until we get something better).
What used to by my daily V2 run has now turned into wishing I could do a V2 run.
What used to be my weekly Dojo run for gloves isn't even possible now, and that makes me sad considering I thought I would have been able to at least clear a run on the ranked difficulty. I guess 9:30 pre-unleashed isn't enough :f4:
So my overall verdict of the patch is that Nexon needs to turn the difficulty down in order to make the game end-game content like bossing more accessible for people other than the really funded players.
Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
So far, I'm liking all of the changes. I've been on the Maplestory Official forums and there are a lot of complaints regarding the mob, map, and boss changes in this update, but I like the challenge and I think those other people are just a bunch of ignorant idiots. That, or I'm being the arrogant one, who knows...
One thing I don't really like is the fact that I cannot stay logged in for longer than 5 minutes when I'm doing actions in-game now. I was fine the first few days of the patch, being able to do the Ghost Ship quest line and Krexel one, but when I went to Gate to the Future, I cannot stay logged in now. It's damn annoying too. I cannot complete my attendance event at this rate...SIGHHHH

The post above yours says a lot about this patch. A 'challenge' serves little purpose when it's already cheap and all the boss changes did was to pretty much say you're not allowed to have fun without surrendering your college loan/engagement ring/first child/what have you for the things that you were already doing before, the bosses were hardly changed based on my observations of going to most of them (Cygnus/PB/Hilla) except for gaining more PDR (Sucks), having their timer lowered (Sucks), having the expedition removed (Sucks) AND having multiplicative PDR suddenly apply, rendering your 100% PDR from before a lot less effective (Pineappling sucks). In sum, it's like paying a thousand bucks more to get strong enough to get the same equips you used to farm, and that's assuming your class is actually up to the task even if you did.
Also, I'm sure peaching over things that were not supposed to happen is warranted because it tells Nexon to not repeat this pomegranate next time.

Play for longer than 5 minutes the "challenging" content, and we'll talk then. If you spent hundreds of dollars, maybe you can clear it though!
Re: Feedback Unleashed: Part I - Numbers big and small
Am I the only one who believes since we pretty much got all the boss changes (sans normal Hilla), that additional options wouldn't be much to ask for? Sure, it wouldn't help too much. But it makes more sense to give us even the tiniest boost to compensate.
