On the last page near the top, you can see Stereo's test of the Warrior set.
A lot of the math and testing in this thread has already been done repeatedly.

there's also my SS's and doublepost with the math, the way it works is:

this one, it just increases your final damage. only thing i'd have to check is if it's added after or before PDR calculation, but that would indeed be too troublesome and annoying
Re: Character Card System
My hatred for the Character Card System is growing. Why must most of these effects NOW suck ass?
It's like I have to completely redo my deck now...
Seems like the "+10 all stat" sets are the best now, assuming you have 100% PDR.

I just made it better.
Not if you just want to use 6 char slots. Mikhail gives koc buff and a link skill (I know the link skill sucks but still) & jett gives his "core link skill", not sure how that fully works but I still think its better than bucc bonus.

i'm kinda ok with that, if they ALL suck ass, then they all aren't that bad compared to each other. but yea, going for an utility set seems like the best option, i'm kinda sad my massive hp is only 2.4k more damage per hit though ._.

If you want to use the minimum amount of character slots, then yes, it's more or less the best setup, but it's not the most profitable.

I guess, but bucc bonus and paladin bonus doesnt seem to be that good either. We're talking about 2-5k range bonus or something at level 200, right? I could see it being good on thieves with shadow partner, so they can go above 70% dmg but everything else is meh.

Mind you Paladin adds to range, so it's actually a decent boost as opposed to Bucc just adding to final damage output.
Re: Character Card System
Well, my character cards are as follows:
Deck 1:
SS Demon Slayer (200)
S Paladin (193)
S Aran (156)
S Rank Set, S Warrior Set
Deck 2:
S Evan (162)
S Mercedes (153)
S Phantom (197)
S Rank Set, S Legend Set
Overall, I prioritize Rank sets because they give HP and boss damage, which I care the most about, and some attack, which is nice.
I just threw the cards together in a way that would give me some additional bonuses besides S Rank, and I only used cards I pretty already had on hand, minus Phantom, which replaced the Shad I had in the second set to make it S Rank, which also gave me the Legend set.
I didn't go and make any extra effort to maximize my bonuses from Character Cards, I don't really think it's worth sacrificing 6 of your character slots just to make one character more powerful, ironic considering that I would make characters for link skills and Blessing, but generally, those are classes I would've made and enjoyed even without the bonuses. Except Cannoneer. Well, it was still pretty fun.
Re: Character Card System
What does Mikhail's card do? I don't know if I want to delete my Thunder Breaker for it even though it seems to be the absolute best possible thing to do (all the benefits of KoCs but with an S card). Though i can only replace him in my deck considering I have the mercedes cooldown and the mechanic buff duration (or other way around or whatever). My deck so far is: Bucc, canonneer, Jett- then Mech, Merc, and Thunder Breaker. So if anything, I'd replace the Thunder breaker with the Mikhail depending on the buff. Decks are so hard to come up with -___-
Re: Character Card System
Mikhail's card is DEF, like the Hero card.
Re: Character Card System
This is what I'm testing out right now
Deck 1:
SS Paladin (200)
S Aran (143)
S Mercedes (120)
S Rank Set
Deck 2:
SS Demon Slayer (200)
S Battle Mage (120)
S Mechanic (120)
S Rank Set, S Resistance Set
My "range" is only 400 lower, but since the Warrior set added "Fake" range, I feel like I got stronger.
I would add my 200 Phantom, but it's not worth losing my Paladin for a measly "+7 all stat".
It might change once Mikhail comes out, or I'll hold off until Kaiser for the "S Warrior Set".

level 200 pally on a 200:
+410 range
level 200 bucc on a 200: +1000 damage
as long as your damage multipliers add to 2.5x or more, the pally is better, if they don't, then the bucc is better.
Re: Character Card System
Right now I'm sporting a triple SS Explorer Warrior Deck and that's not going away any time soon.
Probably going to go with Marksman, Demon Slayer, and Evan for my 2nd deck.
And Paladin card was pretty much made for Paladins.
@ShinkuDragon; To put that 2k range into perspective... an extra 15% STR on my Paladin is about 2k range. Because Paladins have lulzy low range compared to Dark Knights with a huge range, 2k is like... a ton of damage.

warrior set goes to final damage, not range (it shows in range, but isn't really added) so you're getting... 4k damage when using ACB, and 8k damage when using blast (soon to become 12k)
NOT that much of a difference
Re: Character Card System
Can't wait for 6 hit blast and I'll be doing 12k more damage :shine:
You see, in a game without potential and GM scrolls, 12k damage would be something to giggle and glee about...
Oh well... already got the set... might as well use it. lol

considering it gives 1000 hp and mp, 5% boss damage, and 10 all stats, i'm sure you can live with it f3

My complaint with the 120 cygnus is that they still count as A rank cards and with how the card system is set up you really get a better bonus from an S-rank set than you get from any 3 character card set. If you're going to use a cygnus card you're probably better off using Mikhail regardless, assuming you have other level 120s for the card set.
Re: Character Card System
I think a Resistance set with a DS, BaM and Mech is pretty dang handy. It is not all about raw damage.
My other set is a DB, Evan and Jett simply because I can't take up slots for card mules when there will be more link skills in the future. Evans MP regen is pretty dang handy too.
Re: Character Card System
Has anyone done some legwork on the Aran/Evan card bonuses? As far as I can tell, the recovery is neither 70% proc rate nor the 4/6% recovery it states. It also doesn't appear to be one proc per 60 seconds.
I have a level 80 Aran and a level 145 Evan on my sets.
Using regular attacks, I may not get anything for over ten hits, then suddenly I'll recover a bunch of times, then it won't recover again for a while. It's quite random and without tallying up numbers I have no idea what the actual rate is.
I gain ~150hp from regular attacks on HP drain on my 12000 total HP shadower - even at 4% that would put my base HP at 3750, which is just not possible. I would estimate my base HP to be around 6k, but I don't have the inventory space to strip my char completely down to check.
I have no idea what the MP recovery rate numbers look like but it's significant enough to complete dojo without ever going less than 80% MP when using Boomerang Step + Midnight Carnival combo. I once used the BStep+Assassinate combo and relatively quickly ran out of MP, which I thought was interesting, but I haven't looked into that yet.
