Chameleonic Wrote:How so?

No updates to Monster Book.

Therefore no info on what mobs drop what powders, except for what I translated from JMS which may or may not be even remotely close to what our own do.

The powder list is not the same. Found 2 white powders at lorangs while hunting for blue.

Alchemy Recipes - WingZero - 2009-07-29

I found 3 blue powders at Mithril Mutaes. I can provide an SS you need it.

Nope. Don't want it. Anyone else who wants to do so is free to start a "figure out where the powders are" thread though.

Ok, so those 10% scrolls. You use the ??? - ??? menu options, Add in say the 50 spikes and the 10 pages but it's nto letting me add 50,000 mesos. Am i missing a step or is maker just not allowing me? My maker is lv1. I als ohave plenty of mesos on my person.

There's a quest for that... Gordon's magic iron. Go do it first. Maybe it's for lv 2 maker, so I don't know.

Can someone explain the whole "Monster Crystal" thing. I've heard people refer to them in so many different ways (Advanced Monster Crystal, Intermediate, High Grade, Mid-Grade, etc.) and then all the different versions (Mid-Grade 2, 3, etc.) and I just don't really understand it. Sad

Monster crystals are first grouped by basic, intermediate, and advanced, and then are ranked from 1 to 3. The higher level the etc you use to make it, the higher level the crystal.

Basic 1: 31~50
Basic 2: 51~60
Basic 3: 61~70
Intermediate 1: 71~80
and so on until advanced 3 which is everything 120+

Hrm.

I love the idea of Maker and the idea of making items with incredible stats clean, but a lot of this is so full of hassles. The only way I can possibly see getting enough Monster Crystals for one item (since it's 100 each crystal) is to either have some kind of AoE attack that's constantly spamming or if you just sat there and disassembled other equips over and over.

Not to mention the only real good stat-giving Crystals are the Power/DEX/LUK/Wisdom ones and to make just ONE Advance you have to have 100 regular fully-refined Power Crystals or you doomed to buying the inflated prices. So poor people (such as myself) luck out either way. Don't really like that.

Also, can you disassemble any equips for Monster Crystals (except for Common class, I know)? Because I tried to disassemble a 1H Sword (level 45) on my Marauder and it wouldn't let me, but it let me disassemble the level 80 Pirate overall just fine.

 Spoiler

1) If it were easy the market would be absolutely flooded and everything would devalue.

2a) Diamond and Sapphire are also valuable, topaz is valuable for HP gear. Opla for avoid, Garnet for Accuracy. for people making specifically targeted gear you can get very flexible.

2b) You can easily succeed in getting an advanced crystal in your first 10 tries. Just because it's a 1 in 100 probability doesn't mean you have to go through 100 to get to it. Even if you do process 100, you can then reprocess the ones you've processed to create more. I get about 5 adv per 100 of most things.

C) has to be above level 50.

Since 99% of the info is available in game it doesn't seem worth stickying, but if you want to lobby for it, report the (first post in the) thread asking that it be stickied, or that it be moved to the guide section, or w/e.
