You've got the same British dub. You're also getting the British dub of the last story (And presumably Pandoras Tower). Frankly, in some ways it was refreshing to hear voices in games that sound different to the same few people who appear in almost every major game. And with the exception of Riki, none of the characters have silly voices. (Riki is a joke character, so thats on purpose)

Well, I personally played through the entire game using a Classic controller pro, so my experience says yes. I've heard it works decently with the Wiimote and Nunchuck, but I believe moving the camera is marginally more difficult on the Wiimote/'chuck setup (You have to hold the C trigger + use the d-pad) vs just using the right analogue stick on the Classic controller.

Trine 2 went on sale today on Steam. RL friend and I played the game from start to finish in about 7.5 hours in one sitting.

The final boss is a HUGE disappointment when compared to the "Final Boss Gauntlet" in Trine 1.

DMC 1 is horrible. DMC 2 gets a lot of flack for no reason. It's my second favourite after 3. 4 was an abomination.

The World Ends With You arrived in the post yesterday from the USA, oh god this game is so awesome.

Haven't gotten very far yet though, pretty sure i'm still playing through the tutorial (got to the point where you meet Beat and Rhyme).
The idea is awesome, the music is cool and the battle style is so unique. It's complicated but fast paced and not what i was expecting at all (i was expecting music based battling for some reason)

The characters... eh, i'm sure i'll get to liking them eventually, but Neku is just plain annoying, Beat inserts "Yo" into his speech every 5 words or so and whenever i see Shiki's name i think 'Corpse Demon'.

Ah well, awesome game is awesome. Gonna be interesting to see these characters in KH3D

I've been trying to get better at UMvC3... but I can't for the life of me get around to stick with a team. I think I'll settle with Akuma/X-23/Deadpool. Or Akuma/Zero/Hsien-Ko. I don't know if I'm balancing my team though, because Hsien-Ko stays on the game for long, but X-23 and Zero, although dealing a lot damage in the process, get killed pretty fast. I need someone to play with :( the CPU is not cutting it.

Playing Pandora's Tower. My in-game character kill monster while his girlfriend makes food, clean and translates old manuscripts. She sometimes turn into a slimey lovecraftian creature unless he feed her repulsive monster flesh, and he can pimp her out in jewelery and get her furniture and material so she can decorate their temporary home.
God if my old gender studies proffesor got her claws on this game...

Sorry, but Nocturne is a bad game. It's great because it's challenging but it is largely devoid of story besides points where UNEXPLAINED CHARACTERS APPEAR AND ACT MYSTERIOUSLY and then disappear. At least DDS has a consistent story. And the karma board is awesome.

Just beat Resident Evil: Revelations. Wow, what a great game. I didn't think there'd be another decent RE game after RE4, but I was wrong. It was a tad on the short side, but that doesn't matter. It was great. And I actually felt unnerved and terrified at some segments--and the claustrophobicness of the interior of the ship was fantastic. Who'd think I'd be scared in a RE game again? It's such a shame that they can only get the formula right on a spin-off game.

I will be renting Binary Domain from Gamefly shortly. And once I get my next check, I plan on getting the "Teeth of Karos" DLC for Kingdoms of Amalur... I will probably be getting Silent Hill Downpour for my birthday and I also plan on pre-purchasing Guild Wars 2 soon and finally, I've been eying the Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition that was recently added to Steam. Might pick it up.

Been playing MHFU a lot again recently. I just got HR2! Need to beat Tigrex to unlock rank 4 town quests. I only recently discovered how good long swords and hammers are. I had been using ONLY one handed swords through the whole game but I wasn't making any progress so I decided to switch it up and god am I glad I did. Life is way easier with a katana.

Have been immersed in FFXIII-2 for the past few days. Right now I'm trying to get the Graviton Cores. So far I really like it. The OST is...different, but I enjoy it for the most part. The incorporation of violins in some of the battle tracks is awesome.

I have a ton of games to catch up on and not sure where to go after I stop playing FFXIII-2. I have Arkham Asylum and City, my brother said they were great. Also haven't even touched Skyward Sword and we've had it since Christmas. Hell I haven't even beaten Super Mario Galaxy ONE, let alone 2. Then there's God of War III and I still haven't finished Nier and just wow I'm all over the place here.

GOING TO PLAY THE GUILD WARS 2 BETA THIS WEEKEND WOOOOOO.

Ended up finding Tales of the Abyss on the 3DS for $14. Couldn't pass it up. Then I saw Atelier Rorona for $20 and have always wanted to try that so I was like pomegranate... CAN'T MISS IT.

Then I FINALLY found Rocket Slime (2, the first one released here) for $20 and couldn't pass that up.

So, as I mentioned a while back, I only recently got a PS3. Since I knew how much time these games took, and the fact there were two already out and I'd want a break in between them, it was within my starting library.

Now, I had never "FULLY COMPLETED" any of the games in the franchise (ie Maximization). I just never had the time or motivation. I never beat Baal in the first one, and for the second, Phantom Brave, and Makai Kingdom I cheated. A friend lent me a codebreaker so that I could backup my save files since one of my cards died and made me paranoid (which was a stupid idea in hindsight since I can't get them back off my computer now). I decided to take advantage of that, and more or less just skipped ahead to the end content.

For some reason, despite me not liking the actual story all that much (too much breaking of the 4th wall to the point it lost it's humor), I got into attempting it in this one. Fairly certain the reason was I foolishly entered the DLC market and bought it. Knowing you have to get your value's worth can be a hard drive when you immediately regret a purchase. I really do understand the complaints more now on those fronts. Three hundred hours in and I think I've had enough knowing that a few months down the road I'll be doing the same thing. But I at least beat all base content, including Baal, all purchased content, all classes 6th tier, all weapons rank 39 legendary (missing Arcadia) and the Baal Sword, 32 max statisticians, all forms of innocents subdued, and the 100 Mil Damage trophy.

Also beat the first game in the Ratchet and Clank: Future line, and would love to get the others soon as soon as I can afford them (yes, I know they are cheap, but even then...).

Probably going to get back on track now hopefully with the remainder of my library.

Yeah, I say I was working towards platinum, yet I'm only around 39% trophy completion. I can see a number of them that I could get with just a bit of time, but just a small number of them are well beyond me for now without true grinding for max. The main ones that would probably kill me are the few pirates that only show up in the Land of Carnage, and the whole reverse pirate EVERYTHING bit.

Spent a couple hours in Star Ocean: The Last Hope. I think gamer's fatigue is finally starting to set in. It just seems bland to me so far; very different from how I experienced the prior one in the series. The fact that I'm over 5 hours in (over engaging in battles and checking all nooks and crannies), and have yet to be introduced to the item crafting system or new equipment of any sort is sort of discouraging since I enjoyed that from the last one, and delaying it so far doesn't make for good first impressions. I'm just not enjoying these recent RPGs as much as the ones on prior systems. It's likely partly my perspective that's changed; some would even say, "well duh, that's what I've been saying for years". I had the same issue with Last Hope, and I loved Til the End of Time to bits. The game felt rushed, the first planet mesmerized me and left me wanting more, but then it just fell apart because the rest of the areas were so lackluster.
I am sure I have some nostalgia glasses grafted to my skull but I refuse to accept that the RPGs for PS3, lolbox 360 or WII even begin to match the standard RPGs back in the days.

A Valley Without Wind: Platformer + Variation of dungeon crawling + Online Multiplayer leads to a lot of fun with a RL friend. Although, considering AVWW has a quite a bit of "Dungeon Crawling", I'm not trying to get too much into it, otherwise it'll burn me out of the genre too fast and I'll get bored of D3 quite fast.

Torchlight: Torchlight II hits Steam in the Summer and I never finished the first installment. Didn't realize I left the game on the last dungeon.

Super Mario 3D Land: I've had it since release, yet I never even touched the game. Decided to start playing it and only up to World 3.

I.e. if you die 5 times, just go to the pause menu and pick to go back to the main menu without saving. Also, if Gamefaqs doesn't lie to me, you don't lose the glittering stars if you die 5 times after completing the 8 main worlds. Not that i'm about to try and find out.

So, as I mentioned a while back, I only recently got a PS3. Since I knew how much time these games took, and the fact there were two already out and I'd want a break in between them, it was within my starting library.

Now, I had never "FULLY COMPLETED" any of the games in the franchise (ie Maximization). I just never had the time or motivation. I never beat Baal in the first one, and for the second, Phantom Brave, and Makai Kingdom I cheated. I decided to take advantage of that, and more or less just skipped ahead to the end content.

For some reason, despite me not liking the actual story all that much (too much breaking of the 4th wall to the point it lost it's humor), I got into attempting it in this one. Fairly certain the reason was I foolishly entered the DLC market and bought it. Knowing you have to get your value's worth can be a hard drive when you immediately regret a purchase. I really do understand the complaints more now on those fronts. Three hundred hours in and I think I've had enough knowing that a few months down the road I'll be doing the same thing. But I at least beat all base content, including Baal, all purchased content, all classes 6th tier, all weapons rank 39 legendary (missing Arcadia) and the Baal Sword, 32 max statisticians, all forms of innocents subdued, and the 100 Mil Damage trophy.

You should've just got the PS Vita version. All DLC included for free, extra post-game storyline, rank 41 weapons, generics have unique skills, class world entry limit increased, etc.

Disgaea 3 isn't the best choice to Platinum as your first, because of how much RNG pineapplefest most of the trophies are.

Really enjoying Atelier Totori.

As far as everything about the Vita, yeah, I wouldn't likely get it any time soon. Personally I may still get just a PSP 3000 since it should be getting cheaper and there are a few titles there I'd like to try out. One thing I don't know that might make an impression; are PS1 classics purchased in the PSN (via PS3) available for play on the Vita? If no, then I'll likely wait. Backwards compatibility is the only thing that can keep me in the current gen market since I'm so dang slow on things, and the fact that I hadn't yet caught up with current current gen. Either way, I can't even focus on a PSP at the moment since the trade-in I used to get the PS3 took my dad's XBox, and I promised to get him a 360 in it's place after I played Vesperia and Blue Dragon and maybe one or two more. Ultimately, the trade-in value was $75 less than I had expected since I overlooked one thing on their promotion, and a number of games I had traded in were not of the right console to be in the promotion. Of course, rather than being stuck with store credit, I wound up getting a couple more PS3 games. At this point, the funds I ultimately get from Suikoden 2 and Valkrye Profile will have to go to that reimbursement (he paid $100 up front between the systems).

In better news, I might be able to get the remainder of the Ratchet & Clank: Future line by the end of the weekend if no mood swings are present. I'm holding back so hard on Tales of Graces F (not checking that thread intentionally), but I know that without finishing games of a similar genre first in my library, I'd either fall behind further or not get to it immediately anyway, so I'm hoping it drops a few bucks while I wait.

After I finish Suikoden 2, I might go back and replay FF 9, since I really enjoyed that experience. Other than that, no changes.

They're not playable on the Vita but you can play them on the PSP

Picked up Kid Icarus Uprising yesterday. I love it so far, although I notice that all of the deities are total plantains.

Just bought Fate/Extra through Amazon since I've been wanting to play a new game in a while and I wanted to have something to play on the trip to Key West.

Only at chapter 5 and I love it so far except for the fact that Hope is one of the most annoying characters ever and that there's little to no difference between spamming auto attack or actually planning them (at this point at least). Vanille's voice is so pineappleing annoying. I literally sat there muting every time she talked.

I hated Hope at first but the character development throughout the game was so awesome he became my favourite character by the end. Vanille's voice was weird at first but it grew on me. She's just too adorable to hate.

Still trudging away myself at FFXIII-2. Going for platinum trophy and almost got all the fragments. Just dealing with these ANNOYING AS pineapple QUIZZES AND CAPTAIN CRYPTIC and I'm not cheating using an FAQ so this is very annoying. Then I still need the Serendipity fragments and I HATE gambling minigamse so I'm going to hate trying to get the 777 and 10000 net gain trophies. Ugh.

Finally got around to beating Xenoblade. Game is so pineappleing long. 100 hours clocked in, didn't do everything. Once I got into the final stretch I was just so spent that I wanted it to be done. When I last played I was missing 4. I stopped caring after looking for a good 5 or so hours for even ONE of them.

Just got Ragnarok Odyssey today. Got to 1-9...and well, to quote a youtube comment, the Orc King is "pineappleing hard to beat". It was mainly due to my cousin dying over and over since he was playing a Hunter, and he sucks at long-ranged characters, but I also bear some blame for dying a few times myself. Doesn't help that the 3 death limit is shared by all party members...

I went out looking for Gods Eater Burst because @Rob has been peer pressuring me to buy it but had no luck. Ended up buying Professor Layton and the Last Specter. I've emulated some of the older Layton games just to see if they were worth buying and I always found them interesting but never worth $40. This one has London Life which intrigues me and it was only $25 so I decided to go for it. Hope I don't regret it.

Layton 3 is probably the strongest of the 4 DS games, storywise. They're all pretty basically identical in terms of gameplay, which really makes me feel bad for liking them. I hate blatant yearly rehashes (goes for you too assassins creed...) I can't comment on london life because the UK version got ripped off and didn't have it included, which given how layton sells more in europe than any other region, amazed me.

I need to get back to finishing TAles of the abyss 3d at some point. I got careless, didn't save for nearly 3 or 4 hours of gameplay, after /* Fighting Van the first time, then continuing on after he apparently survived somehow */ and then got wiped at some point. I cannot understand why developers still insist on such retarded punishments in RPGs over nothing. Ugh.

You won't. It's my favourite of the series thus far, and the addition of London Life is just an added little bonus. It's fun to play around in. It's sort of like a smaller, less-content-filled Animal Crossing.

Bought the remainder of R & C: Future, and Beyond Good & Evil HD (never played the original, but I can remember watching someone play it at some point "in person").

Quest for Booty

Kinda disappointing, but all the same I felt I needed it for completion's sake. It turned out to more or less be a downgrade from the prior game with barely relevant story to act as the middle piece of this series. As I expected going in, it was short; but the lack of weapons and a relevant story got to me more than that. Should have just watched a video on in and saved the cash towards Tales of Graces F.

Beyond Good & Evil HD

As mentioned I never played the original, but I'd hear about it every now and then. Not very far in right now, but I have to say that I miss exploration games like this. I'm trying to spread out the genres a bit more these days, so that I don't get bogged down in my turn based library stockpile; so I likely will be finishing this slowly.

A Crack in Time

Liking it so far, but I'm trying to spread it out over time just like with BGE. Not sure how I feel about weapon components, but I think it might grow on me.

Disgaea 3

I just didn't feel closure to this game yet. True, the platinum is likely beyond me, but I wanted to at least get all the rank 40 gear before calling myself satisfied.

So, two days ago, I spent literally 800 turns spamming bonus change in order to find a legendary Arcadia. This was after about 70 reverse pirate attempts with the same goal. Fortunately, the first one I find as a result of that is rank 0. Then this morning, in between dupes of some 5 move shoes (screwed up, I know), I get bored while waiting for the class world guy to show up and throw another useless attempt at the DLC Baal. I actually manage to defeat them without too much difficulty, then notice something. The level is repeatable. .... ..... Hello there unlimited supply of legendary rank 40 emblems and physical monster weapons! Thanks for being so obvious to me so as to save me the time to do the item world of the Arcadia to find you. Though, it might have been nicer if I noticed that before the 7 hour grind that it took to find that first...

Needless to say, I'm aggravated, but at least I'll have all the types soon now, so that I can call it quits until I beat the 4th installment's story 6 or so months down the road at least.

Star Ocean 4

Can't say it's getting better, but I am going to finish the first play-through of it anyway. Trying to stop jumping so much, but after this, I swear I'll get back to the PS1 & PS2 lineup. Unless of course I manage to afford Tales of Graces by that point. But then it'd be right after that.

It's actually very annoying to me right now. I can see the stereotypes that they are trying to show off, but they can't even seem to do it right. Which is sad considering how overused they are. It could just be the English, but even the gestures don't seem like what they were going for. Oh, and on that point; I do make it a point to play games in English for the first play-through and any other language options after that. Same cannot be said for the times I watch Anime as the emotions are the drive rather than story or game-play and generally do not make the transition well.

Regardless, I hope there is a faster way to go from one point of interest to another later on, since it has also started to bother me during follow up sweeps of areas for quests and such.

Portal 2

Built a level in the first 7 hours of the development too being available; had no views once it was published. Mine was a slow thinker puzzle versus most of the popular "bouncy room" crap that has been posted. I'll admit, I see a bit of a pacing issue in the first portion of my map which needs a bit of tweaking, but I don't think it's half bad, and it employes concepts that were not used in the main game or co-op in 3 different areas.

What they really need to do with the workshop level display is divide it into 3 sections: Puzzle, Coordination, and Fun. That way all those silly maps could be isolated from things that could actually make people think.

Should be visible if you follow my little steam icon then to the workshop area as it was the only one I had published, but if that doesn't work out; its Probable Convolution. I wish there were arrow tiles and such things you see at the start of the chamber though. Since there isn't, I'll just state this; at the start head immediately left, the rest will start to make sense from there hopefully. There's also a cube switch that's wire is broken for some reason and it is hard to see what it does, but it does have a use.

It's actually very annoying to me right now. I can see the stereotypes that they are trying to show off, but they can't even seem to do it right. Which is sad considering how overused they are. It could just be the English, but even the gestures don't seem like what they were going for. Oh, and on that point; I do make it a point to play games in English for the first play-through and any other language options after that. Same cannot be said for the times I watch Anime as the emotions are the drive rather than story or game-play and generally do not make the transition well.

Regardless, I hope there is a faster way to go from one point of interest to another later on, since it has also started to bother me during follow up sweeps of areas for quests and such.

There is a faster way to get around later. I don't see what you don't like about it; I thought it was the best game in the franchise. Completely made up for the steaming pile of series-ruining-pomegranate that was 'til The End of Time.

Why should they be TRYING to following boring character archetypes? Not that I particularly liked most of the characters in SO4, but I think that complaining about them not being MORE stereotypical is kind of ridiculous. I mean, the kid was creepy and her relationship with whathisface was pineappleing gross. Welch was annoying as pomegranate (pineapple YOU LAURA BAILEY). The little cat girl whose name I can't remember was also annoying. I really like the scythe-user, and the pink-haired magician. Edge and ...I want to say Miranda? His love interest, anyway, weren't horrible. They weren't terrific either, though. But yeah, more cliche would've been worse.

And I loved the battle system. Blindsides are the pomegranate. Story was also decent, though it was a little too sci-fi at some points (though I think the "Return to Earth" is really awesome). Either way, it beats the hell out of WE'RE ALL CHARACTERS IN A VIDEO GAME, and because of that dumb plot twist they had no choice but to take the story back to a prequel (and I wouldn't have played it if they had continued on from that point with either a) everyone blissfully unaware of the truth of their existence, b) everyone aware but keep going as if it never happened or c) have someone else try to interfere from the fourth dimension. which are really the only ways the could've gone with it.) So instead we get to see the events that lead up to Star Ocean 1, and as players we get to keep it in mind that NONE OF THIS IS REAL (INCEPTION) but at least it's not a present factor in the story. Stupidest god damn plot twist ever I WANT TO PUNCH TRI-ACE FOR DOING THAT TO ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SERIES.
