New PDR Indicator - j3y - 2014-03-26 http://i.imgur.com/4fWqy3X.png So After the patch there is a more extensive list of stats now available to us and I was wondering, If I am using Mecha purge snipe, it adds to that 84% correct? if so, What is the formula for calculating true pdr with that extra 41%, or 31 + 10% or however that hyper is added on New PDR Indicator - ShinkuDragon - 2014-03-26 A=(1- window number/100)*(1-snipe PDR)(1-snipe hyper PDR) PDR=100*(1-A) edit: for clarification, "A" would be how much resistance a monster would have left of their original, while "PDR" is how much you ignore, basically opposite values) New PDR Indicator - Even - 2014-03-26 nvm New PDR Indicator - Arrol - 2014-03-26 Even Wrote:¨ So all reinforce Hypers now give 20% additional damage? New PDR Indicator - ShinkuDragon - 2014-03-26 Even Wrote:¨ i'd need some proof about that changing then if you could, but that threathen thing can't be like that, otherwise you'd need over 200% PDR just to stop dealing 1's. New PDR Indicator - j3y - 2014-03-26 wait so, assuming it is additive, A=(1- window number/100)*(1-snipe PDR)(1-snipe hyper PDR) PDR=100*(1-A) A = (1 - .84) * (1 - .41) = .0944 PDR = 1 - .0944 = 90.5% pdr so if i am fighting Chaos Vellum, does that mean i take away 90.5% of the 300% = 271.5% so my damage is reduced by 28.5%? or it is reduced by the 9.5% New PDR Indicator - ShinkuDragon - 2014-03-26 j3y Wrote:wait so, assuming it is additive, the bolded. New PDR Indicator - Takebacker - 2014-03-26 Showing it as multiplicative really shows how stupid high pdr bosses are. Even with 90% i lose 30% of my damage to cvellum? Seriously? New PDR Indicator - Aggravate - 2014-03-26 Even Wrote:¨ I doubt it. Hyper PDR Enhance skills should still be multiplicative if we're going by how the post-Unleashed formula works. Seriously? before the change it worked the same way, making it multiplicative just made it EVEN HARDER to get to 90%. why nexon did this crap, i'd never know

Are you sure we're talking about the same thing? How does changing the display to show PDR multiplicatively in a multiplicatively calculated system make it harder to get 90%? Nothing changes except what you know your PDR to be. New PDR Indicator - ShinkuDragon - 2014-03-26 Takebacker Wrote:Wait what? Are you sure we're talking about the same thing? i meant when PDR changed from being additive to being multiplicative back when it was additive a boss having 100 or 1000% PDR didn't matter because you aimed for 100% PDR. so what i'm saying is that stupid-high PDR bosses aren't the problem (what you said), it's the stupid way in which PDR stacks that is. I think multiplicative makes a lot more sense than additive. PDR remains a valuable stat and you won't be ditching large sources of it for att or stat. PDR might as well have been 0% for bosses in the additive system, and i think that's kind of stupid. Multiplicative PDR is fine, but it only gets insane when you start giving leverage to specific classes with 100% ignore on specific skills or 50% PDR on a passive at a boss that you need a ridiculous amount of PDR to still have your damage cut by at least 20%. Yet even with that reduction people can hit 50m on him, so whatever. New PDR Indicator - ShinkuDragon - 2014-03-26 Takebacker Wrote:I think multiplicative makes a lot more sense than additive. I can sympathize with that; Cannoneers don't have very large sources of PDR, so i feel real puny compared to warriors in game. I agree it does seem like it was dropped on a whim, but i'm not sure what else would be a better system.
