Tournament of Picks Round 3 - Mephisto - 2011-02-09
LX has ceded the responsibility of hosting the third edition to me, guys, so please sign up and PM me your two submissions in youtube link format with artist and song title included. I'm looking for 16 entrants and 32 songs (self included), and I'll be changing the format to attempt a legitimate loser's bracket (the idea being the winner's and loser's champions face each other for all the marbles). I'm still thinking of the best way to do this, as it will mean the loser's bracket is going to run a couple rounds longer than the main bracket. Suggestions welcome. As with the previous two tournaments, no theme.

What about the idea brought up earlier (I think?), about seeding matches? You make them into groups of four and hold three rounds like this (within each group of four):
1v2, 3v4
1v3, 2v4
1v4, 2v3
and then sum up the votes for each song out of three rounds and take the top 4 or 8 from each division or whatever.
Would take longer but then you don't need a loser's bracket at all (since all songs will get to compete at least three times).
