I like the Scania community, kind of - Kabanaw - 2009-07-30 I've spent today at Kimera. Every person there I talked to has been nice and agreed to comprimise. One of them even gave me one of the 60% def scroll (which worked, thank god) and I added another to my BL But then there's my friend in Excellent and... uh... no, let's focus on the nice parts. I like the Scania community, kind of - Derimed - 2009-07-30 This (locked) thread about sums up Scania's reputation in other servers: http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=15153 I like the Scania community, kind of - Kabanaw - 2009-07-30 Quantact Wrote:This (locked) thread about sums up Scania's reputation in other servers: Well that's completely untrue. In fact, excluding... certain guilds and people who can't speak english well, people communicate well and are open to comprimise. When I see somebody at Kimera, I gladly split the channels. During 2x, people split the map. People are open to conversation and are generally friendly. It's just the "important" Scanians that are jerks. I went to Yollande during its creation to make my bishop, the place was filled with Scanians, and I nearly went insane because of all the back-stabbing and manipulation, and I xferred back to Khaini. I know not ALL people on such a huge server are bad people, but generally, the more crowded a place is, the worse its friendliness -- rural vs. urban in real life shows this very well. I like the Scania community, kind of - Providence - 2009-07-30 Honestly, based off what I've seen about them in forums, Scania and Mardia would be the last places I'd ever switch to if I still played. Except for a certain Larry. I like the Scania community, kind of - Vernacular - 2009-07-30 Oh the joys of playing on kMS Culverin~ We get Aran and no drama. 8D I like the Scania community, kind of - Kevo - 2009-07-30 I love Scania and wouldn't change servers... my main reasons for leaving were gone (Extra training maps). Besides, Veng makes Scania what it is and I wouldn't have it any other way. The drama makes it exciting (to me anyway, many would disagree). Even when my map was being ks-ed, it's all a natural part of the game. One can rant about it, and then later realize it's just a silly thing. I like the Scania community, kind of - Greg22 - 2009-07-30 Might as well just call Scania "Excellent" since 90% of it's community is too platypus to speak out against them while they KS your friends, AC your FM spots, monopolize bosses you wish to kill, and overall, make a mockery of the server you thought would come out on top. Well, at least we've got all of the high levels! Thanks Ayman; if you can powerlevel black-skinned black-haired plantain Knights, then you can powerlevel my Shadower anytime! In the history of Scania, there were so many people like you who like to complain and make witty remarks. I think they should just stop, as it won't do anything besides entertaining the very people you are trying to insult. You've always shown yourself to be a really good guy, (here and on SW,) but in this case I strongly believe you think that because you simply don't know anything else. If you've been on a server where there's little KSing and drama, (as I ahve been,) and then enter a server where those things are there, you'll go back to the original server. Stress while having fun is not a good thing for most people. I like the Scania community, kind of - byakugan - 2009-07-30 Isn't this in the funhouse.. because he was being sarcastic? :f6: Although I'd laugh more if he said he's being serious

That's a misconception of Scania. A lot of the people that you hear about are plantain holes, but beneath that is a decent community. The problem is you don't hear about nice people. You only hear about the bad ones. Since there's more people in Scania, ergo more dicks, you hear about the more dicks in Scania, even though I get the feeling the proportion compared to other worlds is similar. I agree with you, it's just I was afraid of being serious since this is the funhouse ![]() Although I dissagree on that there's a similar proportion of assholes in other serves as in scania (Veng ppl is worth at least 5 other server's assholes each I like the Scania community, kind of - Greg22 - 2009-07-30 Kevo Wrote:In the history of Scania, there were so many people like you who like to complain and make witty remarks. I think I'll complain all I want when I wake up at 8:30 AM on a Saturday (After going to sleep at like 4) only to hear the fifth "RUN'S CANCELLED" in a row. I, personally, get giggles out of insulting INTERNET TUFF GUY guilds. They turn it into a huge deal and tell all of their guildmates and put you on their little KS list, and wasting my time making these witty remarks is nothing in comparison to the time they waste attempting to KS the people that apparently "entertain them". I love how seriously they take this game. They're like the Anonymous of maple. They don't forgive, they don't forget, but who gives a pomegranate? Also, let's try to pull away from the hating on of "certain guilds." I like the Scania community, kind of - Rick - 2009-07-30 Why? They deserve to be hated. And they are. They have to choose between the real world and the virtual world. No one wants them on either, but they can be thugs in the virtual. |
