After five memorable years hunting and defeating some of the fiercest dragons ever seen, we regret to announce that Nexon America has arrived at the difficult decision to discontinue the North American service of Dragon Nest in September and publishing rights will be transferred to the game’s developer
Eyedentity Games on
Tuesday, September 27, 2016. At that time, the service will be shut down and you will no longer be able to play Dragon Nest through Nexon America.
We would like to thank each and every one of our players who have journeyed with us through the land of Altera in the past five years.
If you would like to have your account transferred to Eyedentity Games, you will need to agree to transfer your account information. This agreement will be available in-game after the
Thursday, July 14 maintenance. You have until
Monday, September 26—the day before service closes—to agree to have your account data transferred. Please be aware that some data (such as guild and auction data) will not be transferred.
The Dragon Vault will remain open until
Tuesday, September 27, 2016, and we will host a Farewell Sale running
Wednesday, August 31 through Wednesday, September 14, 2016. Items purchased will transfer with your account if you opt into the transfer. We will not be issuing refunds of NX spent in Dragon Nest. Any NX remaining on your Nexon account can be used in another Nexon game.

Over the past five years, we’ve strived to provide you with a unique experience. While we succeeded in some areas, we failed in others, and have seen our community begin to dwindle over the past year to the point where we can no longer service the game. For those players that have stayed, thank you! For those players that have come and gone, we thank you too! Without any of you, we would not have been able to accomplish all that we did.
We learned a lot from our mistakes, but we learned a lot more from what you, the community, have shared with us. We observed the interactions of our players in both the game and the forums. We watched the exciting PvP events, and were amazed by your beautiful artwork. We hold fast to the many wonderful memories that were created.
We value the passionate and loyal community that has made Dragon Nest great, and so will be offering you a number of opportunities to move over to other Nexon games where you can continue to craft enjoyable and memorable experiences.
Again, we thank you for all of your support and hope that you will join us in a new adventure soon.
