v148 Update Predictions

So, while in the IRC talking to others I had an idea. Why not have a game where we guess what Nexon will do for the update. Below, guess how big the patch will be, how many words the update notes will be, and how long YOU think the update will be extended by. My guesses are below.

• Patch: 150mb
• 3,000 words in the update notes
• 5 hours extended on the patch

• 5,000 words in the update notes
• 24 hours extended on the patch

• Patch: 45gb
• 50,000 words in the update notes
• 168 hours extended on the patch

• Patch: 450mb
• 4,122 words in the update notes

• 35,000 words in the update notes
• 2-3 hours extended on the patch

Implementing the world merged PQ content will result in hilarious shenanigans leading to either a long extension or an unscheduled maintenance shortly after the game goes live, or both.

I predict a rollback due to player's items being wiped from their inventory during world merged pqs >_>

Hence why I am not going to do anything productive that day...

I see a hiccup with the cross realm pq server a long with a nice big extension but it's okay they will give us 2x at 2-4am for me in my Country.

Why did someone give him a pomegranate? For doing something different?

For patch size I'll say 150mb. I can see the cross world PQs causing problems at first so maybe a few extensions and an unscheduled SC. :f3:

A few things I foresee / hope don't happen:

- Certain players exiting the world merge map get stuck in a broken map, requiring a maintenance to resolve the issue and move them out.
- What happens if a player is still inside a merged-PQ if the servers go offline.
- Rare cases of players inventories being wiped.
- An exploit that allows hackers to disable the inventory clearing function/header of the world-merge PQs, allowing items to be transferred between worlds which will result in a large maintenance and possible rollback as depending on how many players pick up items could be dramatic. Hoping this has been handled beforehand.

This is why they should hire a few hackers that can help them code/fix these.

1GB patch, 10k words, 9 hours extension, followed by much server ruccus, followed by 10 hours USC Friday night which won't fix anything.

About 60 MB. Idc about patch note word count.

Few classes got new skill designs.
