I'm sure that all of you are aware of how Nexon has been lately changing. What I mean by changing in the shortest way to explain, They are listening to the complaints of the community.
I've sent three tickets in the past week concerning different issues, One of which was about my account being hacked/compromised. The first two tickets were replied to the next day (Which to some, is a huge improvement). The one about my account was answered in two business days.
Here was the reply I received.

I don't see why they would give out 500 dollars so freely, you must be an avid spender and they don't want to see you go.

I believe someone else posted recently that they offered him 250k compensation for losing his items in a storage glitch.
On the other hand, I got a 10-month-old ticket about HT not giving Ambition answered recently... with the usual form letter about forwarding to the right department.
They are trying, but it's still rather hit-and-miss.

I think that either A) Diablo 3 has poached all their costumers and this has finally been the kick in their arses that they needed (There was somewhere that linked to an article saying that some MMO and even LoL has decrease in players due to Diablo 3 launching) or B) The other post that people linked to with Namco or whatever people getting involved are taking effect to actually work this messy game. That, or maybe a mixture of both.
In terms of improving the game overall... well, let's just say that Nexon is on thin ice here. Given their history of all talk and no work, if they even mess up something to a horrible degree, then crap is going down. Who knows, maybe they will finally get it together in the face of bad circumstances, or like many other times they have vowed to make the game a better place but only to fail and fall short and back to their old crap sludging ways.
For the record, I am certainly not optimistic about this and think that recent "improvements" are just measures of desperation.

I resubmitted my ticket with pictures of items lost. Explained how the previous compensation was worthless and I want a reassessment. If nexon actually responds in my favor, I don't know what I'll do.

So I resent my ticket.
There's a special category for "Compromised accounts" and has fields where you include how many mesos you lost, NX, items, and the ticket description. (Don't think this was here before)
And on the topic of how much I spent on the game, I've spent about $125 out of my wallet. But my total Nx included the times where I bought card codes from guildies and friends, and that added up to about $700.

That's the category I used when I submitted my ticket a few months ago. :\ I also have over $2,000 charged NX on my account since 2005. My boyfriend had one of his old tickets answered recently and told me to check mine, but as of right now I'm still getting weekly "SORRY WE HAVENT GOTTEN TO YOU YET" emails for each one, not even responses saying they'll look into it. One of the tickets was even NX-item related, and they DID fix the problem at some point before my item expired, but they never bothered to tell me they fixed it, I just happened to pull it out of CS storage and realize i could finally wear it.
I guess I'll give them another week or two on these tickets before I just close them and resubmit. buh.

Even more striking, they seem to do this cross-continents. Nexon Europe has really improved last month or so as well, together with Nexon Global.
I wonder if they found out simultaniously that they had to step up or that they got orders from Korea or something.

To the people with long unanswered tickets, you should resubmit them. I did so with my email change ticket, and had it changed from my old, now non-existent one, to a new one in less than a week.
For some reason or another I wasn't asked for any information other than my ID, Nexon games played, and characters in each game.

Even if "giving away 500$" seems like a lot, it's not really 500$. Just 500k digital pixels. The thing is, if a player gets hacked and loses everything there's a high chance they'd quit and that means no more money from that player to Nexon. So compensating largely for the player's loss makes sure they'll stay on the game and possibly buy more NX in the future.
Then again, logic had never been Nexon's strength.

Checked three of my accounts, to find some very interesting things.
First account, my current "main": For the longest time, I had somewhere between 30-35 open tickets on issues I kept reporting of the game. Logged in to find that they were all "closed by gm", all had a cookie cutter response that the bug was forwarded to the dev team, and they were all closed in the same time frame on may 8th.
My past "main" account that was hacked two years ago: tickets that were from 1+ years ago remained closed after that whole "compensation package" ripoff, and the ticket I had sent telling I never received my nx compensation as stated had remained open. I resubmitted a new ticket referencing all ticket numbers and information I had. Will wait for a response.
A side account: One ticket I filed on being hacked said I would receive a resolution to my ticket in early 2012 (dating back from December.)
I resubmitted a new ticket referencing this, and stated that it is now mid-2012 and I am still waiting for my resolution.
I have a couple other accounts I could check, if I could only remember the passwords to them..
Another Account (and EDIT): Same as the third account. GM Talia posted early 2012 as the target date for a resolution and it never happened. Updated and resubmitted the ticket.

Second reaction: you must be very lucky because this seems like a rare occurrence (maybe it's too soon to tell though). I have actually never bothered to write Nexon a ticket in my entire history of playing due to low expectations. Maybe now's the best time to start.
As for whether I think Nexon's improving or not; I can't make a general judgement just based off an isolated example like your ticket, but I can say baby steps have been taken by the removal of MTS and pending the 4-world merge. We still have to wait some time to see if things are systematically improving or if these small things are just occurring because Nexon's been put into a corner and were forced to act fast. There are still horrendous problems with the game; most notably hackers, hacking, the cheater's mentality, that sorely sorely need to be dealt with in an efficient and thorough manner. Until that time comes, I will continue to belittle Nexon at every turn because baby steps of improvement do in no way overshadow years of complete mismanagement.

They've.. wow... answered to a bug report ticket of mine in less than 30 minutes.
Even the best companies usually take much longer than that to answer. That's scary. I'm used to having to wait over 8 months for a ticket like that to even get a bad answer.
This time I got a normal non-automated satisfying answer in such a short time.. they must have really realised that they should have improved at all costs to not fail completely.

In reference to the original post: Is that a new GM? I've never heard of GM Panthiro before. But...then again, if that is the "answers tickets GM", then I wouldn't know since they ignore every ticket I make.

So it just goes to show, for a day or two, it was something new, but once it settled down, it became no more of a threat to them than a lot of other MMO's. This is fairly normal in the gaming world though, which is why big updates are usually the only time they pay attention to how many active players they have. (and why the big patches must be strategically placed for a maximum amount.)

Well, I took myself to submit a ticket about this "town lag" I am suddenly getting, (In which I swear it's the game, not the computer running the game.)
and to be honest, they closed it in less than 5 hours after I sent in the ticket. But I'm not bitter. They said they notified the people working "upstairs", and they are sorry about it. I was just surprised they manged to do respond in the lick of time. I'm still awaiting for a answer on my resubmitted ticket from when I got hacked ages ago... but dang. I don't honestly care if it's automated or not, but that's fast in my case.
(Now... let me grab the letter.)

Same here. I received the exact same letter, but they gave me 50k instead of 125k. Still, it's way more than I ever expected.
I'm actually speechless. Do you think they're really gonna step up their game?
And, yeah. For everyone who's been waiting for a response since December or something, add new info to your old tickets, even if it's just a "how's it going so far?" They'll respond in a day or two. Feels weird, man.

Also, it seems like anyone who had a hacked character can now possibly get 250k-500k MP just because they were hacked. I wonder how thorough Nexon is in determining if you were really hacked or not and in determining how/why you'd deserve compensation for it.

While I have no doubt there will be people who will try to abuse this system, I'm sure that Nexon is competent enough to distingush if someone is saying they've been hacked and providing no proof/flimsy times. Nexon would have a transaction log that would see who you've traded with, what items are gone, when they were traded, and what IP accessed that account at that time. Using that, I hope that nexon would be able to distinguish between real and fake hacking reports.

Word gets out pretty fast if Nexon is handing out free MP.
I got hacked two years ago now or right around Christmas the year that big bang happened? I really don't think resubmitting a ticket would help much now. I have no SS's of my stuff

Billpay is seperate from nexon so their responses will be really quick.
My ticket unfortunately hasn't been answered as of yet -shrugs-
Re-sent my hacked ticket, I really hope I get something @_@ cubing my branch nose to 12%str was a freakin pain!

I got hacked two years ago now or right around Christmas the year that big bang happened? I really don't think resubmitting a ticket would help much now. I have no SS's of my stuff
If you submitted a ticket before, submit a new one with the other open and refer that as a proof that you got hacked in that time. Well, at least that is was i just did (i got hacked in January and lost some items thanks to item storage in november) and i'll tell you what happens in the coming days.

I might as well. +1 to Nexon if they really are stepping their game up, as opposed to leaving my other ticket 'work in progress' for at least a year and a half. The only other proof I have is this thread (which, lol I can't find a date on, but the fact that it's archived tells you its old):
I emailed billingpp but it's taking so long... it's been a week since my first email and they still haven't responded. Nexon's Ticket portal had a response in 2 hours...
I sent them an email with transaction IDs and stuff yesterday... hopefully something will come up today.
@Locked; Strangely enough, my ticket was answered around 8am.

I had no proof of my stuff, just tell the truth, I'm sure they have records somewhere if a bunch of items/meso suddenly go missing from your account, after all they have records of NX(though that's easier, only 2 places to spend that).

My open tickets are now redundant as I had been asking for my account to be cleared of false ban history in order to buy a name change. It's still a work in progress, and I don't want to close it but there's no point reopening because I can't even buy the damn thing anymore anyway.

I can understand someone getting hacked by not doing anything wrong as genuinely needing proper compensation, but what if the person was enough of a dumbass to click/DL something that they shouldn't have, and as a result having gotten hacked from it? How would Nexon distinguish between someone being hacked by their own stupidity/recklessness and someone being hacked through no fault of their own?

I hope nexon keep their promise and doesnt change from what they are currently doing. Nexoneu have also become more open with the community, I sent 3 EOLīs yesterday and got responded after 20 min on all 3. They also hired more gmīs which lives close to their office and because of european rules, they get paid with real money for this instead of maple points (I think the payment should be around the same as a gas station worker, maybe less or more).
Edit: if you wonder, the EOLīs was about legend patch bugs.

I don't remember who it was or the job title it was, new CEO I think, when that guy got promoted it there's been dramatic changes with Nexon, here's hoping it continues and keeps going in an upward path. I also had an almost year old ticket answered and closed, responded to the other 3 so going to see what happens with that.

Yeah, they refunded a couple hundred to my PayPal so, in a sense, I'm just returning the money to them.
As a plus though, they're asking for less than they actually refunded.

I would be severely disappointed if it does turn out like this.
But Nexon has gotten smarter and revved up their work, they would probably need to do a background check before compensating (assuming they kept transactions of hacked accounts years ago).

I submitted a new ticket last night regarding my 2 separate hacking incidents and got an answer today. They are offering me 75,000 maple points as compensation. Based on what I lost, that is more then fair. Unfortunately, the equipment that wasn't stolen is crap, so there isn't a whole lot I can use these maple points on. Well, at least I can get a permanent hyper teleport rock.

Now the purpose of this thread, Have you noticed any changes with Nexon? Do you think this new attitude will improve the game overall?
It is a lucky thing, to say the least, that you received such a personalized response. My boyfriend was just hacked about a month ago and logged a ticket and after 3 weeks received the same ole automated response. Hopefully this will be a new trend for nexon. If they continue to consistently provide personalized responses and service like they did for you, then good things are coming for nexon america and maplestory.
