  • Complete the Temple of Time questline in order to begin your journey to 5th Job!
  • Meet with the Goddesses and speak with the Erda to earn their support and progress your character toward ultimate power!
  • Different skills, buffs, and effects in the form of Nodes can be obtained through the V Matrix, the new, unique UI that is specific to 5th Job.
  • Obtain Nodes by opening Nodestones.
  • Nodes can also be dismantled and/or enhanced in the all-new area, Arcane River.
New Skills: All Jobs
  • Rope Lift: Fires a grappling hook to a platform above you to ascend quickly. Press the skill key while climbing to cancel.
    • Level 1: Cooldown: 3 seconds. Passive Effect: STR/DEX/INT/LUK +1.
  • Decent Mystic Door: Creates a portal to the closest town.

  • Decent Sharp Eyes: Allows you to locate an enemy's weak spot to deal fatal damage to that enemy.

  • Decent Combat Orders: Temporarily increases all of your skill levels. Further raises final job skills that are already at master level. Other skills can only be increased to master level.

  • Decent Advanced Blessing: Greatly increase your Attack Power, Magic ATT, Defense, MaxHP, and MaxMP. Reduces the amount of MP consumed when using skills.

  • Decent Speed Infusion: Increase your attack speed by 1 level for a short time.

  • Blink: Teleports you to a random location on the map.
    • Level 1: HP Cost: 5%. Cooldown: 64 seconds. Passive Effect: STR/DEX/INT/LUK +1.
  • Erda Nova: Gathers Erda from yourself and your surroundings to batter enemies. Disrupts the Erda of your target, which binds their movements.
    • Level 1: HP Cost: 15%. Damage: 156%. Number of attacks: 5. Bind Duration: 10 seconds. Bind Duration: +100% based on damage inflicted with Erda Nova. Cooldown: 397 seconds.
  • Will of Erda: Focuses your mind to ignore some abnormal status effects. However, this will not work on all abnormal status effects.
    • Level 1: HP Cost: 5%. Cooldown: 475 seconds.
  • Also obtain various nodes that will increase the Final Damage of your previous jobs' skills!

  • All Warriors
    • Weapon Aura: Infuses your weapon with a portion of your health, granting it a visible aura and temporarily empowering it.
      • Level 1: HP Cost: 10%. Enemy DEF Ignored: 10% for 82 seconds. Final Damage: +1%.
        • Aura Wave: Every 4 seconds. When you use an offensive skill, send out the same number of waves as the number of attacks in that skill to deal 51% of that skill's damage on up to 10 enemies. Cooldown: 180 seconds.
  • Hero
    • Burning Soul Blade: Conjures a burning soul blade to fight at your side.
      • Level 1: MP Cost: 350. Summon Duration: 41 seconds. Press the skill button again to make the blade stay at a fixed location. However, the blade will reappear at your side if you get too far away. When near blade, Raging Blow hits up to 8 enemies with 167% damage 9 times. When you use an offensive skill, attacks up to 8 enemies 6 times every 1 second with 50% bonus critical rate.
        • When following the player: Damage: 332%. When enraged: Damage: 364%.
        • While stationary: Damage: 301%. When enraged: Damage: 327%.
  • Paladin
    • Holy Entwinement: Links your battle prowess with that of a party member.
      • Level 1: MP Cost: 1000. Duration: 41 seconds. Targets a party member in range. Affected party member will duplicate any attack skills you use as well as certain buffs. Only the self-buff will persist if the target moves out of range. Cooldown: 120 seconds.
        • Echoing Party Member: Upon using an offensive skill, affected party member mimics you for 51% of Final Damage. Buff Duration: 50% + 1% for every 1000 STR (up to 100%).
        • Self Buff: Final Damage: +35%.
  • Dark Knight
    • Spear of Darkness: Hurls a spear of utter darkness at the enemy.
      • Level 1: MP Cost: 350. Summoned spear deals 382% damage 7 times on up to 12 enemies. Additional Critical Rate: +100%. Additional Monster DEF Ignored: +50%. Cooldown: 10 seconds.
  • Dawn Warrior
    • Celestial Dance: Simultaneously unleashes the power of the sun and moon.
      • Level 1: MP Cost: 1000. Duration: 41 seconds. Creates an afterimage when you use an offensive skill. Afterimage Damage: 31% of Final Damage. Upon using an offensive skill, the sun and moon inflict an additional attack every 5 seconds on up to 10 enemies with bonus 100% Critical Rate. Cooldown: 150 seconds.
        • Rising Sun: Damage: 1240%. Number of Attacks: 3.
        • Falling Moon: Damage: 620%. Number of Attacks: 6.
  • Demon Slayer
    • Demon Awakening: Awakens your true power.
      • Level 1: Fury Cost: 100. Duration: 31 seconds. Final Damage: +5%. Critical Rate: +50%. Automatically triggers Cerberus every 8 seconds when you use an offensive skill. Enhances Demon Lash and allows the use of Chaos Lock while Demon Lash is active. Cooldown: 120 seconds.

    • Demonic Frenzy: Sacrifice your body to the flames to fuel your vengeance.
      • Level 1: HP Cost: 20%. Consumes 4000 HP per second. Healing Restriction: Items and skills can only heal 1% of MaxHP. Final Damage: +1% per 4% HP consumed. Your demonic blood spills periodically to coat the ground for 5 seconds and deals 308% damage on up to 10 enemies 2 times. When your HP falls below 1%, the skill will cancel. Can be toggled.     • Shield of Light: Become the shield that protects party members from enemy attacks.
      • Level 1: MP Cost: 1000. Duration: 40 seconds. Damage Reduction to you and party members inside the shield: 74%. Cannot use movement skills while this skill is active. The shield has 3 layers, each of which can defend against 10, 10, and 15 attacks, respectively. Final Damage after shield destruction: +5% plus 1% per defense count for 78 seconds.     • Guardians of Nova: Summons ancient Kaisers to fight by your side.

All attack skills except Soul Buster further enhance the orb's powers, up to 2 stages, with each stage increasing the Final Damage by 100%. The orb can be removed manually by using the skill again.     • Gravity Crush: A powerful singularity draws in enemies. Detonating the singularity inflicts significant damage over a large distance, based on the damage dealt while the target was affected by the singularity. Unaffected by attack reflection.
      • Level 1: MP Cost: 1000. Draw in up to 8 enemies in range, stunning them, and creates a singularity which periodically deals 500% damage. Singularity Duration: 10 seconds. When the skill duration ends or the skill is used again, the singularity explodes dealing 660% AoE damage over a large range. The damage of the AoE attack can increase based on the damage inflicted by allies while the enemy is within the singularity. Cooldown: 120 seconds.

  • In order to access the new continent of Arcane River, you need to have completed the Temple of Time questline, and have V Matrix unlocked.
  • You can access Arcane River through the Temple of Time.
  • The Black Mage has made his way into the lands surrounding Arcane River.
  • Travel to the first area in Arcane River, Vanishing Journey. Here you will encounter a monk who has lost his memories and is on a journey to regain them.
  • Help him on his quest and meet new creatures along the way.
  • This land requires you to obtain Arcane Force by collecting Arcane Symbols as you complete quests.After completing the main story quests, you can complete daily quests which continue to give you Arcane Symbols.

Chu Chu Island


Available December 28

Requirement: Lv. 210 and above
  • The second area in Arcane River, Chu Chu Island, is available after completing the Vanishing Journey questline.
  • It is recommended for players equipped with at least 100 Arc.
  • To access Chu Chu Island, you need to jump into a chasm after finishing the quests in Vanishing Journey. You will be swept away by the current of the river.
  • Arriving at Chu Chu Island, you will meet Muto, a friendly rock creature with the mind of a child. This starts the Chu Chu Island questline.

  • After completing the Chu Chu Island questline, you will gain access to the 'Hungry Muto' party quest.

  • Maple World is being invaded! The Legions of the Frost Fiend have come to take over, and only the combined efforts of heroes can stop them!
  • Invasions start at 4:00 AM PST/7:00 AM EST/1:00 PM CET/11:00 PM AEDT every day at the top of the hour. They end at 3:00 PM PST/6:00 PM EST/12:00 AM CET/10:00 AM AEDT every day.
  • There will be notifications server-wide every ten minutes to announce the stage of the invasion.
  • The goal is to defend the towns and clear other maps of the invading Frost Fiends!

Rewards: Defending Maple World comes with a sense of achievement, however, with victory comes the spoils! Some of the rewards include:
  • Frost Fiend equipment set: When all 5 pieces of the Frost Fiend equipment set are worn, you will have a flurry of snow follow you everywhere you go.
