This game is amazing, looks pretty solid and the instances are really fun.
the character progress is really unique.

@Chew; whats it like compared to other mmos like GW2, WoW, ESO, and FF14? I saw they had an open beta but wasn't sure the 20GB or so download would be worth it.

Theres nothing really unique in it.
But I'll try my best to explain why at least should give it a shot.
Oh boy incoming wave of screenshots...


Aesthetically the game its gorgeous.

Nothing fancy, just the scenario.


As classes/jobs goes:
You can change your class anytime given, you only have to use the proper weapon and go to the tab to change it:

You only get 3 classes to begin with but you can unlock other classes as you progress in your Ascension Skill Tree

Each character has 2 Skill Trees called Atlas;
One for its class (Paladin Atlas here)



And the Ascension Atlas


The Class Atlas only affects you when you have the designated Class, while the ascension Atlas affects you no matter what class are you playing.

To unlock other classes you must progress through the Ascension Atlas.



How do you progress through the trees? With resources you get from quest/adventures/Pvp.

The game itself has a questline, but you can repeat any instance/zone/adventure any time.
Lets look at the "Lobby":



This is where everyone gathers before doing a quest.
Lets look at the world map:


For instances you can either go solo or queue for a group.

There are also open world areas such as this one:


If you go to an adventure (open world)
You'll be presented with a quest line which will develope to side quest as you progress through


Now lets look at the resources onto the next post.

These are the most importan resources:



If you go back to the world map you'll see how much of each you can gain by complete each instance/adventure
You can spend these resources to advance either the Ascencion Atlas or the Class Atlas



These are the currency



Credits.. Pretty self explanatory from the screenshot.

Argents = Cash (You can only buy a Premium Account with these but you can also exchange Credits for Argents so you can get a Premium Account by just playing (Ala Eve Online)

Celestial Threads = You can buy cash costumes with them

Myrr Drops= not entirely sure I'm not that deep into the game.

Into your character:

You don't level up in this game instead you earn prestige



How do you earn Prestige? With anything really.
Getting better equipment, enhacing your equipment, advancing thrugh both Atlas.


You need enhacers stones, credits and mastery.
To get enhacers stones you only need to dissasemble unused equipement.
To get mastery sparks you only need to complete quest/adventures.

Needless to say classes doesnt share prestige. So your Paladin wont have the same prestige as an Archer.

The outfits are presets which you can either buy with Celestial Threads or unlock some by completing the Training room



That pretty much covers up all the basics of the game, I could talk about Pantheons (Guilds) and followers but as I said previously I'm not that deep into the game and I have no idea how ar they.

The game for me was fun for awhile; I really enjoyed the finisher move you can use when an enemy's hp is near a certain number. I probably haven't gone far enough, but I just fell off really early. I really wanted to get to the monk, or just something that does damage, but I couldn't make it. The similarity of the combat style just made me and my friends want to play Tera instead, seeing as it was similar, but not as good imo. Similar in an action rpg sense I guess?

The character customization was lacking, I felt. When creating my male character I felt like I couldn't make it look the way I wanted, seeing as for males I try to make it as close to me as possible, and quite frankly, most of the hairstyles and face options weren't suited for a black male. I just made a a girl instead, which is what I do in these scenarios, seeing as girls don't ever get as gimped as guys, I find.

Super casual anime girl run was also a +1 (left on the "choose your run animation" slider)

The ascension atlas concept was really interesting too, which is why I wanted to continue. My pomegranatebox laptop can't play with decent graphics , so I couldn't enjoy that aspect of the game either. If I had to choose between 20fps sexy graphics vs 50fps trashcan graphics, I'd have to go trashcan all the way
