Can't seem to open today's Hot Time gift

Today's box can't be opened at all.
Says, "Please make sure you have at least 2 empty Ins slots." Even if you do. And even if you have no chair bag or title holder.

The way these Hot Weeks work, you can't get the doubled reward on Sunday if you didn't open each of the boxes on the days before. So if this is not fixed today (roflmao)...

(At least I think so... char is 5 years old, so memory is fuzzy... but it never had enough chairs or titles to warrant opening a bag. Certainly had no open bags today.)

Edit: tried it just now on a newer account (~4 months) that's definitely never had any kind of chair bag or title holder. No go.

I haven't claimed yesterday's hot time box.
Can't really think of anything else...

Edit - Someone at Basil was able to open it after cleaning etc and use slots. Maybe we need more than 2 free slots?

Edit 2 - Had over 15 slots free in each tab and I still couldn't open the damn thing...

Made 13 spaces in Use and got it to open.

Edit: That's not enough. That character also has 10 empty Etc slots and 20 in Equip.
I tried on another account, but couldn't make enough Equip space (only managed to get up to 10 slots). Or something. Anyway it still wouldn't open.


Second edit: The research continues. It's starting to remind me of the infamous Error 38 bug.
Got the box on a third account, who had 2 free Use slots, 43 free Equip, 31 Etc, and 45 Setup.
It wouldn't open.
Cleared another 4 slots in Use (total of 6), it opened. (Was too lazy to try after each slot, so I don't know whether 3 or 2 or even 1 would have been enough).

Perhaps it's a very specific item that was preventing it from being opened? e.g. something from a previous hot-time like EXP/Drop buff? The chair/title bags are notorious, but they may not necessarily be the only reason for this round.

The second character I opened it on, I dropped 4 Jr. Boogie familiar card. I had 8 more of them in inventory. It opened.

As I said, this reminds me of the Error 38 bug, where people would crash on entering cash shop. The best we could figure out was it had to do with the total "weight" of stuff in all your inventories as well as some skills and things. There was no clear rule as to how much space you need to make, or which items cause the bug, it was just in general characters with lots of stuff who had it, and throwing some away sometimes helped.
Of course it's a type of data corruption bug, and Nexon eventually fixed it, but it took a long long time.

I wonder what they'll do with these stupid boxes. Normally I wouldn't care about these chair and title bags, but if one doesn't open the box today, one can't get the extra reward Sunday. So this is a double whammy to all those affected.

I have a feeling that Sunday's, at least, will. Its space requirements are the maximum of all the boxes of the week (so you could get whichever double you ask for).

Shouldn't require more than you had to clear today.
Then again, who knows what bugs Nexon can come up with?

i'd say maximum plus one. like last time 10 use slots, need 11 to open the last one. or maybe just one extra use slot since theyy don't account for the fact that the box vanishes
