    Umm, after going over this the only thing I seem to have missed is adding 5583200 mesos for attempting to upgrade and immediately blowing up at each star level above 5. That would increase the averages a bit but they're already astronomical so it doesn't matter much. PLEASE tell me there's some huge error in my math besides that here. These numbers are looking crazy high. I actually did hit that average for around 3 billion mesos getting to 5 stars in my own upgrades on my tyrants with star force so I would assume i'm doing this correctly.

    The cost for 5 star at least seems consistent with my own experience and testimonies of a few of my old alliancemates. That said, your calculations seem a generalized or incorrect to describe the expected cost (if there is one). Moreover, the average cost doesn't mean much without a variance. I aced a probability course last semester, but describing the distribution of this system seems very complicated. It's quite similar to a random walk problem, but restricted to positive integer values. The changing probabilities and chance of returning to the start (booming) severely complicate it as well :\

    My issue with the calculations for stars 1-5 is that you're dividing by the probability of getting x successes in a row when there are more alternatives. For 5 stars, for example, you could fail any number of times at the beginning, pass 4, fail 2, then pass 3 in a row and get to 5 stars. To get to x stars in general, you'd need to get x more successes than failures in N attempts where failures from 0 stars can be ignored. The problem is fixing x and calculating the expectation of N where N can take values from x to infinity.

    This is kind of interesting, so I think I'll build some code to test this with fixed probability values.

    --__-- . . . . .I forgot chance time, but this does work well enough ignoring chance time. . . .trying to find a compiler atm for my new simulator to factor in that. The above calculations were just done with the programming calculator windows comes with trying to AVOID such complications and just come up with an average based on the success rates as I usually do when figuring out how many times I'd have to try to perfect something with a scroll in game on average.

    Ok . . .I'll just say look at these averages from a simulation of getting 100,000 tyrant equips to xx number of stars with infinite replacements for when they blow up. Aside from 15 which i only did to 1000 simulations due to it taking 12.5 hours to simulate that many equips getting to 15 stars with infinite replacements for destruction. With the costs as they are I would just say don't go over 7 stars in general and 12 stars maximum with star force. After all you're much more likely to blowing up in the hundreds of times trying for 13 compared to about 20 maximum while trying for 12. And its actually cheaper to stop after 5 - 7 and just go the old fashioned method of aee no boom and guardian scrolls.
