It's coming!
just announced in the direct, coming spring 2015.
It looks amazing.
There's also a Special Edition in Europe only with a steelbook, double sided poster and a Majora's Mask steel pin badge.

I certainly wasn't expecting it, despite being aware the mass desire for it since the release of OoT3D. That said, I'm definitely going to get it. I haven't played through it since I originally beat it on the Nintendo 64, so this should be a great walk through memory lane.
I actually never got to play this game! Aside from when my childhood friend kept complaining that he couldn't beat the final boss, so he invited me over to try and I beat it on my first try. I'll be looking forward to this!
While I do love some Majora's Mask, I'm on the fence for this. I barely played the OoT3D version and ended up trading it in shortly after.
Gif too big

I dunno. I feel a lot of fans exaggerate how 'scarring and edgy' MM is. It certainly is one of the darker Zelda titles and I love it; don't get me wrong. I just don't think everything about it is bizarre and disturbing.
But anyway, this was probably one of the best announcements of the direct for sure. I'll be putting aside 40 bucks just for MM3D. Always adored it as a kid :]
There's always the "Is Link Dead?" theory!
I don't even need to watch the video to know that Link isn't dead. (though I will watch it tomorrow morning :P)
He can't be dead because the Link from Majora's Mask is the Hero's Shade from Twilight Princess, who is a full grown (albeit dead) man.
I saw an interesting idea earlier about a possible sequel to Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask focusing on an adult Hero of Time and showing the events leading up to him becoming the Hero's Shade.. but eh, Twilight Princess is already enough of a sequel and the timeline really doesn't need to be bloated any more than it already is.

CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS TO HIT THE SHELF.
This is the weird one with the creepypasta right? :S that moon is freaky
Comparison pics between the original and the remake
Also the director said that the game has been in development ever since OoT3D was released, and hinted that the 3DS version has new content.
I think a Master Quest mode is a given right? makes sense with the additional development time.
So, is it really easy to mess up and go over the time limit thingy or would you need to purposely delay everything as long as possible to, what i assume, game over with it?
It's literally impossible to beat the game in the first 3 days, there's a mechanic given to you via an item to go back to the start of the 3 days. with only certain items you've obtained being retained, and you also get methods to slow or even speed up the flow of time. You do have to manage your time, but at the same time it is still rather forgiving. The worst that can really happen is you lose some progress on a side quest and have to start it over if you don't do it quickly enough.
I'll laugh if you can somehow bypass the guards again.
