People like me who play off and on and didn't even know that feature existed.

You can recall the location by memory enough times that you can eyeball the exact spot.

I recall a similar position with Wolf Spider Caverns as well with the plethora of portals in the map. Three portals on each side and two in the middle of the map.

I think this might qualify as a bug that was dropped in fairly recently. Leafre that is, the Wolf Spiders have been like that for a long time.
