Rick Wiles Claims Ebola Could 'Solve' Homosexuality And Other Issues In America

Forget the thousands of people whose lives are now horrendously affected by Ebola -- this man has managed to find a positive in the pain: God could use this disease to get rid of all the people He (supposedly) doesn't like!

Trunews talk show host Rick Wiles took to his radio program this week to spout off about what he views as the great "attitude adjustment" America so desperately needs: the Ebola virus. In the eyes of Wiles, this pandemic could be an instrument of God used to destroy everyone that He deems immoral and unfit, such as queer people, atheists and those who've had an abortion. The right-wing pundit stated:

"Now this Ebola epidemic can become a global pandemic and that’s another name for plague. It may be the great attitude adjustment that I believe is coming. Ebola could solve America’s problems with atheism, homosexuality, sexual promiscuity, pornography and abortion. If Ebola becomes a global plague, you better make sure the blood of Jesus is upon you, you better make sure you have been marked by the angels so that you are protected by God. If not, you may be a candidate to meet the Grim Reaper."

I didn't even know the guy existed before this thread, and as an uninformed outsider I assumed he had no credibility to begin with to be demolished. Does it really take stupidity of this level to show how crazy fundamentalists are? Hasn't this happened again and again with other people? It's not ground breaking news when someone says something stupid.

His target audience is fundamentalists like him, who might not have heard of him before. But now they have, and are nodding in agreement to his words, and feeling he is quite brilliant and perfectly right.

You know how else you can be a candidate to meet the Grim Reaper? By living. So, by his logic, everyone who has "the blood of Jesus [upon them]," and has "been marked by the angels," is already dead. I can see that.
