I'll play with you guys. I'm just about finish with transistor
Very sad to hear that max level is only 20 and that there are only about 4-5 planets total =/. I was hoping for much bigger
Idk i just wish it was less multiplayer haloish combat and more MMORPG goodness =(
Since it is now open to everyone I decided to download it and give it a try. I have only had time to try a few missions so far but I quite like it. I'm not interested in the pvp aspect of it really, just the story stuff. I quite like what little I have played so far but I still have no intention of buying it.
Don't forget! Today at 2pm pacific (about an hour and ten minutes after the time of this post), log onto Destiny and play the Moon mission! Open for only two hours, playing through it will net you a shiny Beta-exclusive emblem. See you in-game!
Game's been really fun so far. Simple to play, easy enough for people who aren't necessarily good at shooters, beautiful world, amazing exploration....
My main/only gripe so far is just the fact that I can pretty much win every level by standing behind the invisible wall of where enemies are forced to stay behind.
Also I'm super scared of giant tank robot things.
And my own shadow? Shadows in this game are weird. I keep seeing my shadow out of the corner of my eye and freaking out because I think it's an enemy.
Missed the event by a few minutes, but on the bright side I got a legendary weapon from the Iron Banner, and hit lvl 3 cryptarch which nets you legendary tier etc items (I wonder what they are for). Now I really hope we can at least put stuff in the vault for future characters. Also, seeing how there's so much to do on Earth alone, with all the random caves and underpasses that have ridiculously powerful enemies lurking, I'm sure there will be plenty of content. Depending on planets chosen, and their moons, we could easily have 10 more overworlds. This game should have plenty of content to hold me over until Super Smash for WiiU comes out.
Explored moon for about an hour and a half with a couple people. CRAZY how big it actually is in just one one underground area. Found two golden chests and got a sick ass jade rabbit emblem or whatever the pineapple. Hopefully I'll be one of the few to rock it for a bit
Welp, the beta is over. I had a blast with it, definitely looking forward to the full game. See you guys in September.
I had a blast, a little sour that I missed the moon mission, but that only gives me more to look forward to at release. Still wondering why they would give us legendary weapons in the Iron Banner only to have them stripped. I hope we at least keep grimmoire score haha, I put a lot of work into those achievements and ranks. I seriously cant wait to see the Warlock at its fullest potential when the game comes. Good thing we only have to wait a month!Minutes before being booted
Report: Destiny will have 22 Story missions, 11 Crucible maps, 6 Strikes, 4 Exploration areas, and 1 Raid at launch. Gotta admit I was hoping for a tad bit more but as long as they actually stick with it and update it like WoW or GW2 I'll be extremely happy and probably never buy another xbox 360 game.

Sounds like they took PSO2's example.
PSO2 launched with 2 main areas, 1 event area, and a grand total of like 7 missions and about 10 quests. The game felt like a feature ready game with absolutely no content at all.
The good thing is if they treat the game the same as Sega treated PSO2, in 6 months that content number will triple.
I'd probably check out Destiny if they made a PC version. As it is I don't even touch my PS3 unless there's some ridiculously anticipated release, otherwise it just plays Netflix for me all day. I'm more of a PC gamer to be completely honest.
I only had time to get my Titan to level 4 before I was kicked from the Beta. I did max out the other 2 classes though and went through all the PVE stuff. All the classes felt really similar to me but looking at the skill trees it doesn't seem like they get interesting until you max them out. I was a bit disappointed in the moon but only because I expected to do big ass moon jumps. The gravity seemed exactly the same as on earth. But otherwise the moon was cool. I'm not convinced the game lives up to all the hype but I don't think any game would. I did really enjoy the Beta and would definitely buy it when it gets released for PC, so sometime never then.
I'm the complete opposite, watch netflix on laptop while play consoles only. I can't play PC games anymore, nothing appeals to me like it did when I was in my teens. Though I mostly played Defiance, Madden and whenever a JRPG comes out. I been playing defiance hardcore even though it's pretty much trash and I honestly think Trion might be worse than Nexon lol. Destiny will take over for me for sure. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a game so much, maybe when I did first play maple 10 years ago lol.
If anybody had plans on getting either the ghost edition or limited editions, I just found out that it is in fact limited, and retailers like best buy and walmart are cancelling pre-orders due to demand. I knew I should've just pre-ordered the limited after the beta, but life got in the way . Now I'm contemplating getting the "limited" digital version just because I want the expansion pass and various extras for less than if i were to buy the dlc separately.
