How does the XO event map work?

Tried to do it twice, can't understand how it works.
Everybody rushes from side to side of the bottom part of the map, but at least in my case that netted me 0 points. So I guess you're supposed to actually get on the balloon's rope? But how? Everyone is trying to jump with those mushrooms, but hardly anyone can get on top, and with the lag of 100 people in one map I can't see what they're doing. What's the trick?

Just go to the side that answers the question correctly (X - false, O - true). If you get teleported to the bottom of the map it means you got the question wrong and there's no reason for you to stay there anymore since you can't answer any more questions so you can just leave.

I see. So if I lag too much on entering the map to answer the first question, there's no point even joining the game. Lovely.
