I'm still wondering how people import LoL models into SFM. I eagerly await for what the results will be, and hopefully things end in a tie or they band together towards a common cause.

Well, a lot of hard work that's how.
To quote the guy working on this video:
"So apparently you can port LoL models into SFM. I bet a Dota vs LoL video would be very big."
"Too bad the model quality of them are pretty terrible too."

So he basically does a lot of work himself to smoothen up the LoL models, since well, they look like this without him doing some magic:
