I just got a bunch of items sent to me – (thanks!) but what was this for? One of my friends got different items, and another didn’t even get any – why??
Dragon Nest would not be what it is today without you, our loyal Player, and the Dragon Nest Team would like to take this time to thank you for playing, and being a part of our growing community. It seems like a new game pops up on the market every week; and with all the choices out there, we wanted to send you a few things that not only showed our appreciation for playing and being loyal to Dragon Nest, but would also help you along in your continued adventures.
You’ll notice that the items that you received may not be what your friend or guild mate received, and that’s because these item packages (internally dubbed the “Loyalty Packs”) are unique and were specifically chosen based on how often you logged into the game these past 2 months. That being said, if you recently created your account within the past 30 days, you will not be receiving a Loyalty Pack this month. But rest assured that with continued play, you will receive one in December. So yes, this is an ongoing initiative meant to thank our loyal players!
I have NX items that I cannot use on my current character and would like to know if we will ever be able to trade and/or sell them.
This issue was recently addressed in the forum, however we felt it was something we should address in a more official way here in the monthly Player Hot Issues.
Many players have asked for an update on whether or not NX items will be made tradable and/or sellable. This is major curiosity for many players who have multiple characters with their NX items pooled on only a few. We understand how this can cause a level of frustration for some players who feel they have items that cannot be fully used.
We have been exploring ways to implement some amount of tradability to NX items. Unfortunately, as we are still in the discussion phase with our developers, we have neither an ETA nor a firm ‘yes’ or ‘no’ as to whether or not we’ll be able to make NX items tradable/sellable. Many player have asked; “Why can’t we take the systems from Region X?” Please be aware that each version of Dragon Nest is unique unto itself and we simply cannot transfer over features from one region and incorporate it into our own without first considering the work involved and the ramifications of said actions to the economy, game play and community. As soon as we internally decide whether or not NX items will be tradable in Dragon Nest North America, we will let you all know.
Is there any update on what is being done to improve the latency issue some players experience?
After reading the Player Hot Issues thread we felt this concern needed to get a status update.
This is a long term project that is still being actively worked on. We are constantly monitoring the game servers and thoroughly looking into when players report lag and disconnection issues. This has led us to systematically prove out each piece of our network, and replace/upgrade as potential improvements are found. In fact we have recently noticed a potential issue caused by sharing certain infrastructure resources with another Nexon game title, and we have begun taking the necessary steps to ensure that there will be no further negative impact on Dragon Nest.
As we continue to make changes and improvements, we will give updates to the players. As a player you, can help us in our work by submitting a ticket (Here) and letting us know when you experience lag and disconnection issues. Every reported ticket only brings us closer to locating the root cause(s).
Also, if you have not done so already, please take a few minutes and read Rizzo’s thread on ways to mitigate latency issues.
Recent Nexon events have been lacking. Why do they not hold better events?
We heard this question loud and clear! So our question to you is, what types of events would you like to see hosted – both in and out of game. We have posted a thread in the General Discussion section of the forums (Here). Please take a few minutes and let us know what types of events you’d like to participate in. Tell us what you like/dislike about current and previous events as well as offer up suggestions for what you want to see in the future. The more thorough you are with your response, the more we can take away from your input. Please also try to be realistic about events and potential rewards so that we can get an accurate read on what players feel is fair. Lastly, an event idea submission in no way guarantees that the idea will be used in part or in whole in Dragon Nest’s future. We are merely trying to gauge what our players would like to see/not see.
The Player Hot Issues thread is pointless since posted issues are not being resolved each month. Does Nexon even read our posts?
While we understand the frustration that can come when issues are not resolved as quick as we would like. We ask that all players understand that some issues are more complex than others to resolve and take more time. The purpose of the monthly Player Hot Issues thread is to give the Dragon Nest player base a place to voice their concerns that relate to the game, its service and player community. Each month every response in the thread is read by the Dragon Nest team and reflected upon. If players are posting about a new issue and action is needed, the process to resolve the issue is initiated. If there are posts about a known issue we promptly review the progress being made already towards resolution.
After doing this we then look at which of the concerns posted we are able to give a worthwhile response or update on. Sometimes there is really not much to say on a known issue and therefor it may not be directly addressed; this does not mean that the issue has been forgotten or pushed to the wayside.
So keep posting your concerns each month and we will keep reading them!
