I AM REALLY MAD.

Precious 2x is wasting away and I'm only half a level away from 200. I've wasted a horntail run and two 1.5x coupons so far trying to play.

inb4 this lag is only happening due to the Mapleversary stuff and it will magically disappear once it ends.

It's not the 2x as such. During the 24-hour 2x event, there was no lag in the early AM (3AM PST = 6AM EST). It got progressively worse as Americans woke up and joined the game. The lag is caused by more players than the servers can handle. Just exactly why the servers have become so weak, I have no idea.

I don't think it's the anniversary events, none of them seem that problematic. Unless Nexon implemented the spawn timers for town boxes in busy-wait loops, or something dumb like that.

i can attest to the early hours of 2x being relatively lag-free.

when people come on, hell breaks loose and the servers start hemorrhaging
but.. this never happened before on previous 2x events so something is off. i can't figure it out

There was crazy lag after the maintenance to block the Phantom hack, and Ch1-4 crashed on all allied worlds the day before. So seems to have started after anniversary.

Is it the servers? Hackers? More people playing at this time of year? Golden Pig notices when you change channels? Anyone's guess lol

The "Falling Leaves" map is now laggy as well. I've lost a few coins and lots of leaves, because the lag will make them fall right through me without registering.

There is something wrong with the Login Servers status.
For several maintenances now, they have been shown Green throughout, even though the client trying to connect gets the "firewall or server check" message.

The checker is using the old IP (the server maintenance somewhat recently that upgraded hardware or something changed a bunch of IPs), the new login server one is 8.31.99.141:8484
