Preface:
For the most part, the characters will take their traits and personalities from player perceptions that existed pre-4th job. Some (massive] artist license will be taken with interpreting their personality and how the bosses are incorporated.
!! WARNING: VERY STEREOTYPICAL SLICE OF LIFE/ROM-COM SETUP !! If you don't like the setup, feel free to offer suggestions or w/e. Just try not to flame too hard, please.
Setting:
Maple High school. Lol. Names are undecided as a whole, except for the named characters in-story, of course. Definitely include modern amenities like cell-phones, flush toilets, etc. etc. but should have an overall medieval theme.
Main cast:
The main cast will be in their 2nd year of high school, all in the same class. How long they have know each other is not set, could be from elementary or preschool.
Dragon knight (M) - Hot blooded shounen hero. Obsessed with becoming a hero and the 'ideal' man. Oblivious to priest's affections and the world at large. Focuses pretty much entirely on training to be the best. Average grades at best. Perhaps descendant of Aran - would explain his drive to be the best.
Priest (F) - Tsundere heroine. Likes the dk, but has trouble expressing it. Probably near the top of the class, seeing as Grendel is her grandfather. Thinks of the hermit as just a good friend. Trying not to make her too stereotypical, but man its hard.
Hermit (M) - Strong silent type. Likes the priest, but you know... strong silent types have that trouble expressing themselves. Hyper-competent, dexless hermit. The epitome of ninja-ness. Often ends up having to clean up for dk's 'solutions'.
Supporting cast:
Other adventurer classes:
The other adventurer classes will be classmates or other students at the school. Everyone except the marksman is in the same class. To fill out the class to regular size (20~30 students), other generic adventurers will can be place holders. Probably mages.
Ranger (M) - Casanova wannabe. Tries to get the ladies, but plans always end up backfiring spectacularly. Definitely tries to seduce the priest, but she doesn't care for him any more than any other classmate.
Marksman (M) - Younger brother of the ranger by 1 year, but is actually slightly stronger. Typically more level-headed than the ranger and sometimes is actually able to help the main party out.
I/L Mage (F) - Idiot duo member #1, twin of F/P. Competes with the F/P mage and just generally messes around. Of course, usually gets assigned with clearing away tons of red shirt mooks... moemoe?
F/P Mage (F) - Idiot duo member #2, twin of I/L. Competes with the I/L mage and just generally messes around. Of course, usually gets assigned with clearing away tons of red shirt mooks... moemoe?
Chief Bandit (M) - Tries to be as good as the hermit, but is unable to keep up. Typical things like trying to use a smoke bomb to get away, but doesn't get away. Peeping tomb, but often gets caught anyway (smoke bomb failure, lol). Think ninja pervert from baka-test anime, but less competent.
Crusader (M) - Pretends to be manly and strong, but is in actuality a coward. Shows off his 'strength' by fighting lower-level mobs, but is terrified of an actual fight. For example: shows off by being wailing on orange mushrooms, but faints when mushmom shows up.
Paladin (M) - Student council president. Book-smart, top of the class model student, but has a weak body. Tries to use his elemental powers to help fight, but often is unable to do damage anyway.
Marauder (F) - Yankee type character. Obviously, largest breasts in-series. School banchou (gang leader) so doesn't take much pomegranate from anyone. The teachers don't mess with her either, due to her gang backing her up (the other pirates, lol). Often skips class, etc. Hidden character side - could be that she just acts like a gangster to not appear too girly. Kyrin's daughter.
Outlaw (M) - Right hand man of the marauder. Exceptionally loyal to the marauder, to the point where people suspect him of liking her. Remains to be seen if this is true or not. Does most of the work in keeping the gang running.
Named NPCs:
The job instructors will all be staff at the school.
Grendel the Really Old - School headmaster, of course. Pervert old man, as usual. Anything that moves type deal; if it has a skirt (or sometimes doesn't...) he'll hit on it. Grandfather of the priest, friend of horntail. Can be counted on to do the right thing in the end. After all other options [read: options for fan service] have been exhausted.
Athena Pierce - Secretary for Grendel. Level-headed office lady type. Tries her best to keep him in line. Is often the convenient target for his... urges. Of course, she is perfectly capable of forcing his hasty retreat from his attempts. Is the person who actually runs the school. Kyrin's drinking buddy, and is a tired drunk.
Dances with Balrog - Homeroom instructor for the main cast. Should probably be one of those instructors that just does his lecture and ignores the class mostly. Too old, so he can't really see or hear the class while lecturing.
Dark Lord - School janitor. Often gives strange, riddle-like, advice to the main characters, though it isn't necessarily useful; it could just be a random riddle. Just pops up, gives the riddle, and vanishes, leaving the main characters confused. And makes hallways absolutely spotless while he's at it.
Kyrin - Mother of the marauder. An instructor at the school. Probably teaches health and/or some other subjects. Since she's the marauder's mother, she shares similar physical attributes (loljigglephysics). Is definitely aware of the effect she has on men, students or staff, but is at heart a good person. Athena's drinking buddy, and is a rowdy drunk.
Bosses:
Other miscellaneous characters. Of special note is Empress, Horntail, and Black Mage. Black Mage may or may not be Maya from Henesys, just because.
Papulatus - Retired history instructor from the school. Has a temper and is good with machinery. Often invents random stuff, like his clock-vehicle-thing.
Zakum - 8-armed otaku! Hides in his cave all day playing video games and doing other otaku activities. Must have thick nerd-glasses (the ones with the swirls on them, lol). President of the computer club at school.
Horntail - The board of directors of the school. All 3 heads are at odds with each other, so not much gets done during board meetings. Is quite intimidating and knows it, but only at work. Meek husband of the black mage (Maya? lol) and overprotective father of the Empress (seriously, just keep reading).
Pink bean - Pet to the horntail/black mage family. Ridiculously strong due to whatever it is that Black Mage (Maya?) feeds him, but is completely innocent. Since he has no clue that he's capable of causing so much destruction, all his mayhem is accidental.
Empress - One year older than the main cast. Perfect yamato nadeshiko at school on the outside. In reality, she lusts after the Priest and is a yandere - so she'll do whatever she has to do in order to get the priest (Closet pervert?). Daughter of Horntail/Black Mage (Maya?), hence her strength. The Knights of Cygnus can be her bodyguards, hired by her overprotective father.
Black mage (Maya??) - Character not yet finalized... might be amusing to actually have her be Maya from Henesys. Mother of the Empress. Wife to Horntail, but wears the pants in the relationship; Horntail is completely submissive to her. Puts up a facade of being a simple housewife, but its all an act. No one is willing to cross her and she is definitely plotting something, or so everyone thinks. Lethal chef?
Plot:
What plot? This is a slice of life romantic comedy. Hilarity ensues every episode/chapter from random stuff.
