The Catholic church will take a long long time to be progressive about gay marriage. If ever. Still, a respectful Pope would be nice.

Considering the Pope is always pretty old, and we're just starting now in regular society to be progressive about it, we probably won't see anything in the Catholic Church for 50-60 years at the very least. Gotta wait for a Pope from this era.
