No crashlog, and I'm on the newest Java version.
I usually get a massive framerate drop ~1 second before MC freezes and terminates itself. I dunno if that has anything to do with it or not..
A Java re-install might be in order. And if you have a 64-bit OS, aim to get the 64-bit version of Java to ensure everything goes smoothly.
Other than that, I wouldn't know anything else other than ensuring that you re-DL the pack and up the memory usage to 1 GB min and max.
Which modpack is the FTB server using?
Sorry about the 3 hour outage today! I was attempting to switch the servers away from McMyAdmin to SpaceBukkit but things didnt go so well when I got to the Forge servers. ><
When SpaceCP comes out, you can expect a server switch! Until then, MCMYADMIN~~~
The TerraFirmaCraft server now open as of today!
To connect, please connect to thebentobox.tk:25615.
Please be sure to use the custom jar which you can always find the updated version right here.
http://elluel.com/minecraft/tfc/minecraft.jar
You will also need the mod
(TerraFirmaCraft uses Forge Mod Loader)
http://terrafirmacraft.com/download/
Place the mod into your "mods" folder in your Minecraft directory.
(For Windows, this can be found under C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft )
Do not update the Minecraft client as TerraFirmaCraft is still running 1.4.6 until at least next week.
TFC Dynmap can be found here
http://thebentobox.tk:8130/
You all can thank @Polantaris; for their server donation. Without them, I would still be scraping pennies until I could afford another license.
So curious, what's special about TerraFirmaCraft?
The FTB server kinda put my brain on Minecraft overload, there seems to be way too much stuff there. It feel like it was kinda overdone. One of the reasons I haven't played it as much as I would like. Trying to look one thing up got me into like 50 other things that were all progressions on each other and it just seemed excessively insane.
TerraFirmaCraft is..in a sense...how survival should have been.
In the smallest nutshell I can make, TFC has:
Dirt has gravity.
Killing an animal gives you accurate portions of meat/leather/feathers.
Tree leaves give you branches and you can walk through them.
The server has seasons, and you must plant crops/fruit trees in the correct season.
For you to break rocks you have to melt ore to make an ingot, with which you use to make a pick.
You must drink, just like how you must eat.
Cutting down a tree at the trunk brings down the WHOLE tree.
Chests cannot hold immense ammts of things, as all objects have a size and weight.
There are about 10 different types of trees.
There are about 16 or so different types of metal.
There are also TONS of new UI's and ways to make things. For you to make charcoal for example, you must make a "pyre".
Shift-placing a log gives you a "log pile" which can be used to store logs!
I could go on and on, but really there is too much to get into.
http://terrafirmacraft.com/wiki/ has the rest of everything you will need to know. I suggest looking into "Knapping" before going on too far.
ALSO PLEASE SHARE EVERYTHING IN THIS SERVER! IF SOMEONE PICKS ALL THE ROCKS CLEAN FROM AN AREA, THE NEXT PLAYER IS pineappleED!
That actually sounds better than Mindcrack to me. I'll definitely be checking it out soon.
I am also opening a Public Craftbukkit server as of today. This probably wont interest any of you, but I just figured I would let you know.
I wish there was more people to play with...
Having some issues connecting to the TerraFirma server, the server maps looking wonky too.
Spoiler
Well thats just not good. Let me go look at this problem.
Edit: The only bugs I see with Dynmap are ones involving placed wood. Dynmap doesn't understand all the custom wood types so it just ignores them.
As for the server rejecting your login, I have rebooted the server. Let me know if you can get in or not.
Hopefully this will help you TFC noobies.
