Email almost hacked?

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right forum to post this in but here it goes.
Today I got the following email from google accounts or whatever:

Jordan,

Someone recently tried to use an application to sign in to your Google Account, xxxxx@gmail.com. We prevented the sign-in attempt in case this was a hijacker trying to access your account. Please review the details of the sign-in attempt:

Tuesday, November 27, 2012 6:55:05 PM GMT

Location: Ningde, Fujian, China

The only reason I can come up with anyone trying to hack my email is because of Maple lol. I changed my password and also I changed settings where when I sign in, google sends me a verification code to my cell in which I need to enter to get into my email. Should I do anything else to prevent my email, maple account, (and possibly credit card info) from getting hacked?

Same problem, also changed my email password.

From China too.

Nothing else came from it.

That's weird that three of us got it. You don't think there's been a database leak with our emails, do you?

I got mine like a year ago. My email probably got released (along with my password) because when GW2 came out someone from China was trying to use my information to log into that lolol.

I got the same email about 2 weeks ago. I signed up for google's 2 step verification. It requires that you have an android phone. (Not 100% on iphones, sorry)
