Can't really compare an offline console game with an mmorpg now can you? It is not like it is the same team that work on these games anyway.

SE just released their beta test road map for FFXIV: ARR.

- The beta application site opens early January.
- The beta test period is split up into four phases with the first phase beginning mid-February.
- All legacy status holders qualify for phase 1 testing.
- All FFXIV account holders qualify for phase 3 testing.
- The PS3 beta test begins on the third phase onwards.
- FFXIV 1.0 characters can be used in the third phase onwards.
- The fourth phase will be an open beta test.
- A Non-Disclosure Agreement is active until the fourth phase.
- Characters made in the fourth phase will be transferred over to the official release.

If this was a "Lightning Returns: FF13" thread, I'd agree with you completely.

But this is an MMO FF. Completely different field.
