  1. Default So what exactly does Heaven's Hammer do now?

No one seems to be talking about this change.

    (taken from here)

Does this mean that it hits 4mil now as opposed to the previous 1mil (or did they turn it into a non-cap hitting skill for bosses)? Does this make it a viable skill to add points to earlier for lesser-funded players at LHC?

What I'm actually interested in knowing: does this now hit 4 times at LHC?

    .....
It means that Heaven's Hammer now hits 4 times per boss monster, as opposed to 1.
Read the Level Readout you just quoted if you're not sure.

Don't LHC monsters count as semi-boss monsters?

EDIT: But yeah I should have clarified. I know it doesn't hit 4 times on normal monsters.

Yes. There is no such thing as semi-boss, but LHC mobs have the boss tag.

HH hasn't hit cap on bosses for a long time. They changed it to do normal damage based off your range.

As for LHC mobs, I believe it will hit 4 times per LHC monster, but considering those mobs are boss tagged for other reasons, I have a feeling it will still only hit them once.

Code does not work that way.

LHC mobs are boss tagged for other reasons, such as to prevent OHKO abilities / procs and of the sort. Even though they have the "Boss" tag, they are not classified as bosses, which is why Boss % potential does not work on them.

It does when there are two different boss tags with completely different properties.

It's already a non cap hitting skill on bosses (including LHC and SH), except for the minor issue that at around a 30k range, all crits do cap anyway and at early 40's, non-crits are capping too.

It's still not doing enough dps to be worth putting points in.

I would think it hits 4x considering how Marksman's Snipe works. It hits 6x at LHC mobs which is the boss effect. Even though normal effect is OHKO, it never OHKO'd normal mobs with max HP over max damage if I recall, but did near max damage. (& Yes I do know LHC mobs are tagged differently as bosses.)

Oh wow, I've been confused on this for quite some time. Thanks for clearing that up. It's still such a rad skill; I just wish it was better. :(

If you are a long way from hitting cap, the new change to HH actually made it do slightly less damage at lvl 32 compared to the previous patch. But you likely won't want to use this skill unless u rely on it so much for grinding at places like ToT.

Just tested it on my Paladin: HH hits LHC mobs 4 times.

Awesome. Thanks for confirming this for me.
And now I have to see if I still hit cap now that it hits 4 times.
