A lot depends on your elo level, ranked and normal. For example in mine
Popular: malphite, ezreal, jax, darius, blitzcrank, alistar, lee sin, graves, etc
Not popular: yorick, rumble, urgot, sejuani, brand, gragas, kennen, nautilus, shyvanna, talon, etc

Fiddle, Fiora, Garen, Heimerdinger, Jarvan, Karma, Maokai, Miss Fortune, Sion, Sivir, Skarner, Swain, Talon, Trundle.
I haven't seen any of those guys in at LEAST two weeks outside of all-random games. Except for Fiora, but that's because I play her >:

Purple team decided it was an opportune time to kill dragon. Fizz notices, and waits over the wall to assess his options.
Without having a good chance of smite-stealing dragon, Fizz decided to kill off Shyvana to buy his team some time
to reach the dragon pit. Fizz successfully assassinates Shyvana and then runs away to live. But purple team
stubbornly continues to fight dragon. Deprived of their jungler, the purple team panics and scatters when Fizz
jumps in for a second time with his teammates, securing the dragon kill and killing most of the enemy team.

Just FYI, Nautilus was a sleeper - and was VERY popular in tourneys because of his ganking + really great CC - before he got hit with the nerf bat 2 patches ago.

Note that he said in HIS elo. Urgot's a top pick/ban in tournaments but one of the least played champions overall.

Exactly. Out of my ranked games, I've seen 1 shyvanna (who sucked) and 2-3 nautilus. They played naut as support too instead of jungle
