I personally love being able to get on a new computer and just set Steam to redownload all my old games instead of having to sit with a stack of CDs one by one.

People hate DRM, that's the most common thing i have seen people having against steam.
The few things i dislike by steam personally don't matter one bit looking at the amazing things i get from using it.

But yea, people are different.
