The Roxy x John ship is unreal.

John's retcon powers are beginning to direct him closer to his intended destinations, but I can't help but feel it's like in Doctor Who where it'll take you roughly where you need to go, but not exactly. Also I lol-ed at the Johncest bit and Hussie showing the reader's reactions to it.

I'm curious to see what the significance of this one is. It looks like it'll be one of those things where even just the most seemingly insignificant event will change the course of how a timeline plays out.

Though in this case, it's probably very minimal because they actually don't want the timeline to drastically change, just prevent all that recent mess from happening... so... what will this change?

Nope, that scene was after their deaths, if I recall correctly, and Eridan was killed by Kanaya (whose death was highly deserved).

John's last two interrupts were INCREDIBLY important.

First one threw her off the trail of vriska, though she obviously still checked on that note.

Second interrupt was, and this is important, RIGHT BEFORE, IN THE TIMELINE, WHEN TEREZI WOULD HAVE DONE SHENANEGANS WITH THE TINY DISK, SCRATCHING IT IN THE PROCESS.

Now if we can assume similar progression, she was too busy with gamzee to pineapple with the record player and damage the disk.

The disc should be ready to run in time to witness the Critical Event, a confluence of thickly interwoven, aconcurrent circumstances which have been meticulously arranged by myself, influenced to a much lesser extent by you, and by an even more negligible degree, our heroes. The scratch will be healed in time to watch these heroes put into motion, yes, The Scratch itself.

If you don't mind waiting here while I complete my repairs, I will tell the rest of the story. I will show you as well, as I recover data from the disc. But the visuals I supply will be nothing more than abbreviated snapshots, and my telling will be abridged.

Immortality notwithstanding, I'm not going to live forever, you know."


We're going to see a re-do of [s]FLIP without the corruption, and a differing chain of events from that point forwards, likely in quick snapshots, because this will SERIOUSLY change the timeline if the disk was never damaged in the first place.

EVEN THE PATTERN OF THE SCRATCH IN THE FLASH MATCHED THE SCRATCH TEREZI PUT ON DISK 2.
