  1. Default Re: Canada's version of SOPA - Act to enact the Investigating and Preventing Criminal

I agree with Sarah: any Canadian who reads about this and disagree, please don't be idle. Call or e-mail your member or parlament, and tell your friends.

My dear neighbours to the south (neighbors, if you want), please do what we did for you and sign petitions against this bill. Even if it wouldn't affect you as much as SOPA would have affected us, it is benifitial for everyone if we help eachother.

But radio/television has far smaller proportions of user-generated content, if at all. A large part of the internet is made up by us people, not news agencies who either are retarded like Fox News or all silenced by Hollywood.

I don't want to one day consider it normal to click through multiple ads just to do a Google search like we do today with TV shows.

Does that mean the government will know EVERYTHING we download online? Kinda scary. I guess I'll have to start buying movies and songs that benefits more the distributors than the makers... Oh wait, everything we buy do that now.

I didn't know SP supported child pornography so wholeheartedly.

It looks like things are actually getting better! Here is another link on CBC.
Toews surprised by content of online surveillance bill.

It appears that we are being heard! And it also shows that politicians can be really inept when they don't read the entire bill.
