    If I present a receipt that shows I made payment for a service, that they provide, and I lose it because their door was wide open, with proof by the very receipts on the website by what was purchased showing where the nx is, and refuse to compensate it that's a problem.

    Virtual property isn't worthless property and what the TOS says isn't by itself solid. They would have to justify it, which would be pretty hard with the resources showing that it was stolen, especially if a list of compromised accounts would have to be provided, and your name at the very top.

    Their only service to you is to give you 1,000 nx for every dollar you spend which you get
    Like I said I'm sure they could convince the judge that protecting ur id/pass is considered customer service
    WHICH THEY DON'T NEED TO PROVIDE AS A FTP GAME

    That's pretty LOL. That only applies to criminal law. I can tell someone failed business law.

    I don't know why we should continue arguing with yo72. It's obvious his intelligence is obviously lacking. His posts on the forum since he's joined have lacked intelligence from the start. Its really no surprise.

    Edit: @ Leaves: in regards to proving that they've lost my information, I would probably make them prove that their ID/passwords and personal information are in two different databases/places. Otherwise, the fact that they got the ID and passwords but not my information would seem rather sketchy.

    When I saw this on the new posts thing, I thought it said Hamad138. I was really excited.
    Is it possible to have a Freudian slip with your eyes?

    Anyhow, this is pineappleing incomprehensible.

    EDIT:
    @above:
    Yeah, you're probably right.
    Guess it's time to add to my ignore list though.

    God you're so ignorant;

    http://www.nexon.net/legal/privacy-policy/

    we are committed to implementing measures designed to protect the privacy of those using the Service.

    we reserve the right to use IP addresses and other tracking technologies to identify a visitor only when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with the Site's policies, to protect the Site, our customers and others or we believe in good faith that the law requires it

    Hey look that they even have access to IP address to confirm whether it's you or not who's hacking your f`ucking account.

    Oh, good.
    I was hacking my own account the other day, and I was getting real worried that I might get in trouble for it.

    Yeah, I guess this is where it becomes sort of a gray area in terms of how in-depth you go with the structure of their databases. Anyways, the point of your right to sue still stands, and I guess that's all that really matters.

    That, and the fact I don't actually expect us to get to court. Lawyers are expensive. If they're anything like the car insurance companies here, then they'll settle before getting to court to save themselves money if there is the remotest chance they'll lose.

    I've read through all 3 pages of this thread.

    And as someone who's been here since the start of this forum, I must say: you're the most retarded and ignorant poster I've seen here.

  19. Default Re: Possible to sue companies for lack of security/support?

    This all reminds me of this one thread on the Nexon forums where one user was advocating others to increase their own account security.

    ...till it derailed into theoretical, legal scenarios between one adamant, but monotonous user, who kept droning on and on about how the ToS was binding and Nexon owes players nothing at all, and everyone else.

    Except I think the guy over there was well versed in law.

    He must not be if he can't apply theory to practicality in light of the aforementioned famous cases.
