Magestory. whistles.
Some crazy numbers i must say.. Never would've predicted them taking this course of action in buffing mages. Also some how confusing with their ideas for buffing, why don't they buff all the classes to be on par/better than the current top tier? Why are there such large discrepancies between the low end (DB) and top tier? Are they not buffing these classes because of their "mobility"? I wonder about them.
Maybe in the next buffs they'll make hurricane 330% lol.
The days of Magestory are long gone, may it stay that way. Mages have more limiters on their output than other attack classes do (poor excuse for stance, dispel, no status resistance, etc) whilst still being theoretical nukers, could almost call them "balanced" for what that's worth in Maplestory.
I don't think their potentials really match up to other classes though more like evens out rather than make them supreme.
Dual Blades also have a lot more weapon attack than many other classes.
Also, this is a magician thread.
everyone know that magicians are OP
I question whether Dark Shock is a viable addition to Battle mages DPM now that finishing blow hits for a lot more damage. I also am not sure if the finisher adds damage at mobs with low def, any chance you can look into that?
Fixed a major bug that made Battle Mages cast The Finisher and Teleport every time Twister Spin did damage with no delay. Fixed buff casting. Battle Mage wasn't adding some buffs. Adjusted Dark Shock to be used on less than 40% targets and added Teleport to it. Previously wasn't Teleporting with Dark Shock. Added Teleport to Twister Spin. Enjoy continual terribleness.
Battle Mage:Weapon Speed: Normal (6)Weapon Speed: Fast (5)Weapon Speed: Fast (4)Weapon Speed: Faster (3)Weapon Speed: Fastest (2)
No changes;
Fire-Poison Archmage:
Weapon Speed: Fast (4)Weapon Speed: Faster (3)Weapon Speed: Fastest (2)With Teleport:
Fixed a bug where Glacier Chain was base speed 105ms instead of 1050ms. Re-evaluated Flame Gear. Only beneficial if targets are greater than 1 and defense is higher than 25%.
Ice-Lightning Archmage:
Weapon Speed: Fast (4)Weapon Speed: Faster (3)Weapon Speed: Fastest (2)With Teleport:
Adjusted Bishops to only use Flame Gear on greater than 0 defense.
Bishop:

IL with fastest wep speed with tele:
"Defense: 0% 10% 25% 40% 70%
1 Target: 8765%/s 8155%/s 7236%/s 6320%/s 4485%/s"
FP with fastest wep speed with tele:
"Defense: 0% 10% 25% 40% 70%
1 Target: 8685%/s 8205%/s 7500%/s 6792%/s 5375%/s"
Evan:
"Defense: 0% 10% 40% 70%
Single Target: 10574%/s 9725%/s 7180%/s 4635%/s"
VERY similar for IL and FP. Questions about wep speed:
1. is 'fastest weapon speed (2)' the official speed for when booster is cast along with when a bucc casts SI on the character?
2. How does SI effect Evans? Is it taken into context for the calculations?
3. What about 'Decent SI', how would that fit into the calculations? Edit: from a video I saw, I think Decent SI does nothing for Evans, but probably would for AMs/Bishops/Bam.
To add onto IImapler's questions, what are the dps% numbers for Evans with teleport?
The Evan table had always included its mastery for some reason. Teleport may not be completely accurate because Illusion technically attacks faster than Teleport, so I'm not sure if you can actually Telecast efficiently. Evan's Weapon Speed is Fastest (2) by default. It can't go any faster as far as I know, unless they've changed this.
Fastest (2) is the speed with Booster and Speed Infusion for I/L, F/P, and Bishops.
Evan:
Defense: 0% 10% 25% 40% 70% 1 Target: 8635%/s 7934%/s 6880%/s 5829%/s 3725%/s 2 Target: 8970%/s 8376%/s 7488%/s 6598%/s 4822%/s 3 Target: 13317%/s 12442%/s 11129%/s 9816%/s 7190%/s 4 Target: 17667%/s 16506%/s 14770%/s 13035%/s 9559%/s 5 Target: 22014%/s 20572%/s 18411%/s 16251%/s 11930%/s 6 Target: 26362%/s 24636%/s 22052%/s 19469%/s 14300%/s 7 Target: 30708%/s 28703%/s 25693%/s 22687%/s 16668%/s 8 Target: 35057%/s 32769%/s 29336%/s 25904%/s 19037%/s 9 Target: 36662%/s 33004%/s 27512%/s 22020%/s 11038%/s 10 Target: 40707%/s 36640%/s 30545%/s 24449%/s 12255%/s Adjusted Mastery:With Teleport:
Oh, so the original evan table had teleport mastery?
Looks like a/ms and evans are reasonably closer now in your dps % tables.
Thanks for the update.
Thanks for the answers!
I'm assuming "weapon speed fast (4)" equates to attacks with only booster, and "weapon speed faster (3)" equates to booster with useful SI. Is this correct?
Hey guys... sorry for asking a noob question but how do i read the table? What do the defences 0/25/40/70% mean? Does a higher %/s mean a higher dps ( assuming there is no damage cap ) thanks!
