Agree, when i first played the vainilla minecraft it wasnt that bad but oh boy when i started installing mods it was a whole different level of fun.
Something jeb said on his twitter
@jeb_ will Minecraft still receive updates after the full version comes out at Minecon?
@LiamTheChipmunk Yes of course
@jeb_ @LiamTheChipmunk will these be paid
@sidrkrulz No I don't think so... bigger "expansions" might cost money unless you have an alpha key
The "End" of Minecraft.
Apparently that thing the Dragon dropped was an egg o.o
Seriously WTPing at the credits, i wonder if anything changes in the "real" world after you are reawakened?
Warning: If you don't like spoilers, don't read that post or watch that video^ lol.
Minecraft can't have spoilers if it has no plot :P
We got an ending, now we need an intro
So I bought the game because I saw some realllllly awesome screen shots of great terrain with some nice mods or something. I have no idea what to do or anything, I need some guidance.
There are some mod-packs which install themselves into your minecraft folder automatically by using an installer of some sort.
But I suggest you wait some time because the release is coming tomorrow and most mods won't work for a while.
Zelkova i Expect a Stream of the whole minecon starting tomorrow
You people weren't kidding about maps post-update being all water. While I was waiting for Zelkova to update the server, I created a map under the seed "Purple Mushrooms" (looking for mycellum), and I've traveled over 1000 blocks in one direction without sight of land.
I am currently playing full release.
Feels good man. Haven't played since 1.8 so anything added after that I'll just now experience.
I take it Minecraft its officially released already? Or you playing from minecon? Anyway i guess ill could take the dust out my Nova World (Vainilla World) to see whats the beef with the official release until my fav mods gets updated... (Although First i should finish Mw3, stupid weekend addictions)
Full release is available from the site/launcher as soon as Notch pulled the level.
Ran into my first swamp biome on my third try (chose not to use a seed this time), and I have to say, the transition is too stark. Gradient from it to the nearby biomes just isn't there. Also, something funky with map development. Got a practically walled off desert surrounded on all sides by another biome much higher than it in the shape of a square, and then when I ran into the village there, all the buildings were chopped in half with no NPCs. Granted I've seen it before, but not near as constant and even in the spawning area.
ANIMAL FARMING ALLL THE WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
So, uh... Minecon keynote looked super awkward. But woo! We're out of beta and releasing (nearly) on time! why did I just do that
