Just curious - and sorry if this has been said before - who composed the music for MapleStory, and when? I assume sometime in the early 2000s (before 2003). I'm just curious if they used any virtual instruments (not including synthesizers) to create the sounds or if they actually recorded a ton of unique instrumentation for the tracks.

As of recently, StudioEIM and Wizet create the music for the game. The initial tracks would probably have been composed a year or two before the release of the game, but with the monthly updates, I assume it's a constant process.

StudioEIM creates music for a variety of games so it wouldn't surprise me if they have access to both virtual instruments and recorded instrumentations.

DimensionLibrary is truly amazing.

It has that great Irish Folk tone which makes it full of feelings.

Also, decision definitely has some issues at 0:17.

It's been another amazing year for MapleStory music. With a record setting 68 tracks released throughout the year, the massive collection is quickly approaching 400 tracks. Below is the complete list of tracks released in 2013. I'll be clearing the "Latest Tracks" section and moving its contents (the 2013 tracks) to "Recent Tracks".

With the momentum MapleStory currently has in the sound department and the upcoming introduction of MapleStory 2, here's to a musical 2014!
