Steam has a great indie-game offer right now:
Indie strategy bundle:
Anomaly: Warzone earth 9,99
Defense grid: The awakening 8,99
Revenge of the titans 14,99
Sanctum 9,99
Sol survivor 8,99
All of this for just 9,99, that's -81% off :)
And the other pack is:
Indie 2D bundle:
BIT.TRIP RUNNER 7,99
NightSky 9,99
NyxQuest: Kindred spirits 9,99
Swords and soldiers HD 9,99
World of goo 8,99
Total price: 9,99 that's -79% off
Two great packs and i'm strongly considering buying both myself!
You can keep extra copies now that the trading system is out now, right? (Lost out on about 8 games that way. World of Goo x3 for example.) Since I have about half of the first one, but still wanted to try a couple of the others. True I'd still save money, but I have to justify impulse buys.
EDIT: Misread, only own one of that first pack. EDIT2: Answered my own question by looking at the store policy after adding it to my cart. No gift copies. I'll save the cash for an adventure indie pack or something since these events happen every now and then.

Speaking of steam sales, I noticed that Sega genesis pack on sale with 40 games for $7.50. Nintendo really needs to take note of these sorts of things since they are still selling EACH game from this pack in the virtual console for $8.
Granted, if people were getting it for the PC, I suppose the majority would just pirate it these days; which aggravates me personally.
Seconded. On the subject of Steam, Team Fortress 2, Alien Swarm, and Spiral Knights are all free. I think I'm missing a couple though.

They have sales from time to time. Right now it's Frozen Synapse. You can pay anything you wish, as low as 1 cent.
Question:
What F2P steam games can I play if my graphics card WON'T run Alien Swarm? Apparently my graphics card is too lame, too old, and not powerful enough to compete with their "required" graphics (yeah I tried everything. No dice. Alien swarm crashed whenever I tried to start a game, but played the menu just fine).
For those of you who are planning to or are interested in purchasing Uncharted 3, Subway is holding a promotion where you can buy specially marked cups that have an access code on them which will give you access to the Uncharted 3 multiplayer one month early, and I think I remember them saying that when the game comes out all the stats you got during the early multiplayer access will carry over to the full game.
