Thread: [Aran] Rolling Spin or Final Toss First?

  1. Default Rolling Spin or Final Toss First?


    With the arrival of Chaos, I did an SP Reset after the Unscheduled Maintenance (they gave out free SP Reset scrolls). Everything is perfect except I have 1 on Final Toss and 1 Rolling Spin...with 19 skill points left. I am Lv. 110.

    Should I max Rolling Spin or Final Toss first? I heard Rolling Spin is kick ass..

    Final toss is your best mobbing skill. Rolling spin makes those mobs. Your choice.

    Rolling spin still feels somewhat useless to me because combo recharge does the job so well. The cooldown on it is only 30 seconds. Final toss is also not too helpful until you get sudden strike because everything dies so easily before LHC. I'd say final toss though because it's great for your damage at LHC, and you're approaching 115.

    You both have very good points, but I'm still really hesitating. I just tested Rolling Spin and I'm loving how it hits 4 times to the monsters on both sides..It's better than ever. But Final Toss and LHC. :x
    I need more convincing. But so far it seems I like Rolling Spin much more.

    Max both, and put only 1 point in Smart Knockback. Arans do enough damage now to KB most monsters (except some CWKPQ monsters).
    About which one first, Final Toss if you want to hang out in LHC, Rolling Spin if you don't.

    If you used your SP Reset already, there's still a Hot Time event. ;)

    Why would I need another SP Reset? Everything is perfect, I have enough skill points. I'm at 110 with 19 skill points from the SP Reset Scroll I used. Everything in 3rd Job is maxed right now except Rolling Spin (1) Final Toss (1) and Smart Knockback (0). I have 19 SP Left. I'm just choosing what to max with the SP Left.. Rolling Spin or Final Toss?

    Also, Smart Knockback is usesless.

    Unless I'm lost..

    Also, I heard that you have to have REALLY good equips/dmg to be in LHC. Lots of players there are really snobby from what I've heard in my guild.

    What the guy above me said. Ditch SKB for Spin and Toss. SKB isn't usable on bosses, and non-boss mobs have extremely low KB values after Big Bang.

    You're better off with Spin and Toss.
    Be good to your kids, as they choose your retirement home.

    But now I want to know which skill should I max first..
    For my training. I have 19 SP I can max one of them right now.

    I'm not sure about that, but I think spin hits 4 times on max number of mobs at all levels. Leaving it at a lower level longer (assuming you only want it for gaining combo) wouldn't hurt that much.
    Be good to your kids, as they choose your retirement home.

    Unless monsters actually live long enough for you to Toss, and then juggle one round, max Rolling Spin. Final Toss isn't useful unless the monsters either require you to do two or three chains of Full Swing + Final Toss, or you have Sudden Strike. At least with Rolling Spin, you can ramp up your combo so you can Fenrir or Judgement quickly and by the time you're 115, you'll be able to have at least 16 Toss ready.

    If monsters are actually strong enough to require you to juggle, or you're at LHC, which you're not right now from what I see, then go with Final Toss first.

    Just so you know, apparently SKB is the only aran skill that works on sigils in CWKPQ, so in the end you might want 1 point in it.

    About RS vs FT, the couple guides i read went with RS first, and some even used some FT points to max Booster.

    Rolling Spin first, Final Toss won't do you -that- much good right now.

    Also, I put Fenrir points into Booster since Fenrir is good enough at Lv.10, I never need it in 4th Job.

    Why is everyone so obsessed with Booster, Arans before this patch made it fine with 17~18 Booster. It's not like they lowered the duration so you need more points into it now. I'd rather hit that extra eighth monster with Fenrir than need to recast Booster 10s later.

    >Implying I didn't have maxed Booster before Chaos?

    Longer Booster is more important for me, Fenrir is garbage in my opinion, that's why I left it at Lv10. Again, personally, Fenrir is never needed in 4th Job, which I am, therefore it's only given the minimum amount of points, by me.

    Fenrir is a waste of my combos and would honestly just slow me down.
