Thread: Training Places For All Jobs [post-BB]

  1. Default Training Places For All Jobs [post-BB]

Help me with updating this list. This list also needs some Exclusive areas, cause it's originally based on kMS. Please note that certain places in Cross-job section are not suitable for certain (elemental) classes. For better training spot, see elemental section or check elemental stats of mobs from Fiel's full list of revamped monsters.

    = Area is Highly recommended
= Area is worse than other places, but an alternative when you can't train in Highly recommended place.
No mark= Area is suitable or recommended, but not the best place for that level
*If you are Cygnus Knight, follow the path of corresponding Adventurer

There's an Evil Eye/Curse Eye map in Ellinia that's pretty good training for 2x.

Until and unless their exp is nerfed, Truckers are godly from about level 45 to 70.
Do not attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

    Hey just a quick question.

Does / Has anyone a per vs post BB - HP / XP comparison chart for all monsters. I think it you be best if we could see the number before making final grinding stop location choices. But we would also need to look at the post BB xp curve and factor in the lower xp requirements.

Gotta consider that classes that have elements would normally go out of their way to train on an elementally weak monster (especially now that most monsters at the same level have about the same exp/hp ratio).

    Mages and paladins mostly.

If Truckers are that godly, what about MP3?

That is why you are here. I'm aware of this since I have a Bishop. I will probably make own training places for clerics and elemental classes. I was gonna make own spots for each class, but outside paladins and magicians, all classes have pretty much same spots where they grind.

Hmm... Haven't actually visited them, in Tespia. (The Truckers I did visit).
Going by the extraction, Selkie Jr. and Slimy are now level 90 and 93, respectively. They have no HP to speak of (5.5k and 6.7k... I could 1-hit them with my level 62 Fighter, if it weren't for the accuracy penalty) but give only 60% the exp of normal level 90 mobs (that have 9 times the hp). They would probably be very good at level 90, unless one can 1-2 hit the other mobs of that level. Since I have no idea of the average mobbing damage of a post-bb level 90, I can't really say.

Do the quests for Time Temple get easier after Big Bang? Wanted to go to Oblivion Guardians before, but stuck on those freaking ice monks because I can't freeze them and they're a pain to do. I should probably party with someone, but too lazy to find people to party with.

I did do the first few parts of the quest together with Flamechocobo though. That was pretty fun.

The quests supposedly drop down to 333 requirement, though this was not reflected in Tespia. I believe the monsters mostly become stronger after Big Bang as well.

Cellions at 46 are pretty fantastic if you don't want the hustle and bustle of Kerning Square.
I hear the mixed map past that is pretty good too but I've never tried it.

Mithril Mutae are decent for 8x. They're not much worse than Iron Mutae in my opinion, just significantly lower in demand.

I like the list. It seems to be pretty much dead on. However, Oblvion Guardians are no longer 14X, they are 16X. Training there pre-160 is a rediculous idea as you won't be able to hit anything decently until around 162-164. The same goes with Skelegons being 15X.

EDIT: My bad, Skelegons are 147, Skelesaurus are 153.

The map that has the 3 kinds of big cats is fantastic, I trained my xbow in KMS there pretty fast, it has cloud springs so you just go down killing and spring back up.

See this is exactly the kinda of info we need to consider and apply to the final list.

    ** Edit **
Fiel did get us this now all we need is element info

    1-50
    51-100
    101-150
    151-200

Turns out the 333 only applies to the Victoria Island hunting quests. For some reason everyone was led to believe that the Time Temple quests were also cut to 333.

Just use Hidden street or something as a cross reference. They have most of the elemental weaknesses in a list. Though whether some monsters had their elemental weaknesses changed...that I don't know.

Oh nice, you divided it into spoilers, looks a lot better. Nice guide by the way, im probably gonna follow this for a new character.

Well that's interesting because everyone was saying "BUT IT'S 333 IN KMS WTPHUX NEXONNA"

    Noteworthy places for elemental weaknesses

    Fire Weak

    Lightning Weak

    Ice Weak

    Poison Weak

lol Forgot Holy. I ignored Ice Weak before 7x because it's obviously faster to train on Lightning Neutral.
