    Let's assume you are a dexless, level 100 Hermit. You have a 50 ATK Claw, 10 ATK WG, 12 ATK pot, and Ilbies. How will your damage be affected for after the patch when you hit a green snail? This is assuming NO CRITICALS and NO SHADOW PARTNER.

    First of all, stats:

    508 LUK
    4 DEX
    99 ATK (50 + 10 + 12 + 27)

    Lucky 7

    Triple Throw

    How does this work for Triple Throw? What's "mob damage penalty"?

    We know nothing about how other classes changed. If they get a much larger boost of Damage, NLs will feel left out.

    MDRates and PDRates were posted by Paul in the General MapleStory thread regarding crit formulas in KMST. Roughly speaking, an average mob has a value of 10, area bosses and other "special" mobs have values of 20, and regular bosses (Pap, Pianus, HT, Zakum, PB, etc.) have a value of 25. These rates are calculated into multipliers that are applied to both minimum and maximum damage formulas.

    Thanks again for telling me about this thread on BL when you finished it, Paul. Funny stuff, really, when you compare the raw calculations to many frustrated NL comments viraling around the web.

    The real question is how does it work with our current understanding of crits versus the previous crits? That's what a lot of the whining is about apparently.

    Maximum Damage: 3771 * 1.50 * 3 = 16,969


    Minimum Damage = 2620 * 2.6 * 3 = 20,436
    Maximum Damage = 4031 * 2.6 * 3 = 31,441

    I'm assuming because even with the 390% max range crits you'd still have the pitiful 150% of your min to make your average damage absolute pomegranate?

    I know I may be asking too much, but... Mind doing the calculations for avenger? It seems it can easily replace Lucky 7 on 3rd job, but I'd like to compare to triple throw considering the number of monsters...

    Right now, it's almost better to keep spamming triple throw.

    Replace 1.7 with 5.3. Replace two stars with one. Multiply by the number of monsters you are hitting.

    Avenger doesn't currently operate on its own formula. You'll have to use the regular claw formula for current damage.
