Oh, there aren't maps for Rien/Aran quests either. And Rien quests are untranslated. And no mounts. SO yeah, it's obvious they won't have Aran for this patch. They will have it in November, as the Asiasoft worker said on Facebook.
Off-topic (not dropping because I spent 10 mins typing this)
I only have one thing on my mind regarding the translation: Ignorance is bliss.

Besides, majority of the community won't even know the direct translation from Japanese to English. The translations aren't really a big deal.
As for the quest text, well unfortunately, majority of the community don't read the quest texts anyway.
This is somewhat forcing an idea onto a fact.
rant
First, I have been so utterly disappointed with vMS's translation that I refuse to EVER try playing it. Translation is there to help you understand the gameplay, the plot, which is essentially the core of most, if not all, RPGs.
Just because the majority of the community are ignorant teenage kids who can't tell 'than' from 'then' doesn't mean the adults doing a business need not give a pomegranate to what they do.
Aufheben may be challenging to pronounce for those who have little/no knowledge in terms of German language. But let me ask you, why are there words like katana, ramen, samurai, valkyrie, Hell, Hades, Titan, etc.. being widely used despite the obvious fact that even larger a proportion of the community know pomegranate about Japanese/Norwegian/Greek? The point in translating one piece of text from a foreign language is to help the local users understand the meaning of the context. Auf Haven? Yeah right, okay..
What did you know about Zakum? Papulatus? Yeti? Golem? Would you have known about any tiny piece of those cultures had it not been for MapleStory's translation (and elsewhere, wherever translation is respected enough)? Now I would laugh if they named Fire Bain as Yeti instead, because translations don't matter, 90% of the community are kids who won't be able to google up the meanings, given that they have the curiosity it takes anyway.
I generally don't give much of a thought as to what MSEA/Softnyx does. I lost all expectations, if any was left, when I read the 3 paragraphs that described the 3 races. It was the introduction, the teaser, the first and foremost thing one would read about whatever the *#&$ he's about to play, and it was an utter disappointment, to me.
On-topic: Lol @ MapleTV, welcome to hell, fellow maplers.

No, this isn't really possible. The MapleSEA translations have gone so bad that there isn't an explanation of how bad they are.
You know what? MapleSEA could get all the content in this entire world, but the worst thing which can happen to a game is have HORRIBLE translations like MapleSEA.. no, wait, they aren't horrible, they are tremendous. Seriously, if you have to translate the content so bad don't release it at all. It'd make me f'ucking rage if we had so bad translations on GMS. Yeah, we have many typos and grammar mistakes, but not as many as MapleSEA.. like.. really, WHAT? Softnyx is a Chinese company which translates its games to english as bad as MapleSEA.. I used to play one of their games, Rakion.
I quitted it because of the bad english in the game itself, and in their announcements. Like, you almost didn't understand what they were trying to say. Bad translations = bad game.
But let's not start another flame war like the last time, shall we? I'm not trying to, I'm just saying what I think about it.
I must say, though, that Neo Tokyo + Aran + Witch Event (which I really loved on KMS) is pretty good.. though, you won't get Aran or Witch Event this patch (not sure about the last one) but only get Neo Tokyo, so.. yeah. I wouldn't consider it a super-patch, but a pretty good patch.
Though, the translations... no, no, no. Just no.
It's a matter of priority I guess.
I believe it irks a SEA player more when contents aren't released than when the NPCs have horrible grammar. Honestly, I don't think anyone in game cares whether the NPCs are linguistically sound when everyone is just so obsessed with exploring the new maps that are given to them in a new patch.

No, you don't. It's slow (8) speed, which is craptastic. Alchupiz is at least slow (7).
Also, Fiel, it is translated as slower (8). Slower is 9 or 10, slow is 7 or 8. So either it's slow (8) or slower (9)
For attack speeds, trust the number more than the text that surrounds it. In my code, the number decides the text. I fixed it in my code.
That's what I figured. Not only is it more precisely-descriptive (further differentiating 'slow'/'fast'/'faster' speeds) but also more accurately acquired (directly from the data instead of being tagged with names manually).
Judging fairly, it isn't a bad spear but not too excellent either at the same while. What's left to determine would be the rarity of those items needed for synthesis. Given gMS's competitiveness (proven by Terry from kMS), it might not be much more pleasant than hunting time pieces.
Still, an alternative is always welcome.
L > Neo Tokio/Mirai Toukyou in gMS.
IMO : i kinda feel like this is Asiasoft's last ditch struggle or something, 1st the mass release of worlds when the population is dropping and now all these patches?!?!??! argh
(remembers this happening to grandchaseSEA before it closed)
