As long as I can get through my Vellum runs without too much trouble I won't complain. That and Evo Empress are really the only things I use 2x for anyway.
the alleged lag is not that bad for me, don't really notice it that much
The midnight sessions aren't bad. Wait until the day one.
It's a different experience for people depending on stuff like internet connection, proximity to servers, etc. I usually just get something like 3 lag spikes an hour and otherwise 2x plays the exact same as 1x (during the day, absolutely no difference between 2x and 1x if I bother to stay up for the midnight one).
I have 5GB download speed and live in Ohio. Laggy as pineapple.
Friend has 20GB download speed and lives in California. Laggy as pineapple.
I'd hate to sound like a snob, but there really shouldn't be a reason why this sort of lag is experienced universally. This has been an issue for around a year, and Nexon hasn't done squat to acknowledge it. So I come to the resolution that it'll never be fixed, and just don't play.
I think a lot of the lag depends on where you're training.
Evo World and Dimensional PQ are notoriously laggy on 2x, because there's just one server (computer) serving all worlds.
Popular channels in heavily populated worlds also tend to get laggy.
But sometimes it doesn't matter where you go, the bottleneck is in Nexon's network.
I don't mind putting up with some lag, but when I start getting blocked-for-hacking messages I kind of lose enthusiasm.
For me the evening 2x events more or less coincide with when my internet is usually bad, so its hard to tell server lag from internet stalls.
