So I'm in town, and some dude on the other side of my screen hops on his unicorn, and BOOM. I'm frozen for a good five minutes. Framerate drops to zero. Whole game's frozen. I'm using a transformation potion, too, so when the game comes back to its normal framerate, I've lost half my time on the thing. Awesome.
Later, I'm watching some dude summon the gachawhore dragon. Why? Because it's cool; that doesn't matter. It's all nice and everything's fine, until some jerk comes along on his unicorn and makes me lag again. And I'm sitting there thinking, what if I'd summoned the dragon? What if I'd summoned it, and before I could pick up a box, some jerk came along and lagged me to hell? I'd be pretty upset.
Later, I'm just trying to train, when some guy waltzes through the map, mounts his goddamned unicorn oh how I hate those unicorns and lags me silly. The whole time, I'm worried that I'll be dead when the game starts up again. Thankfully I wasn't.
What is this? Is there a way to stop it from happening that any of you have discovered? And why -- WHY -- does Nexon KEEP RELEASING MOUNTS even though this has been a problem for several MONTHS? It's like they have a board room where they just sit and think of ways to pineapple with their playerbase.

Johnson: (he enters the room with a sense of confidence and swagger that dazzles the rest of the sheep employees; their senses fail them as Johnson scratches at his soul patch and lets his advice reverberate through the room) "Let's make those laggy mounts widely available without ever addressing the issue."

The only way to 'stop' it is to close maple and restart it. That only changes WHICH mount lags you, so it's irritating still.
Yesterday, I was visiting a henesys hoe friend, and some douchebag with tons of duped gear(blue maple bandana, smiling mask, SCG, FS) came in and spammed his duped dragon mount, causing me to lag to hell. I got fed up with it after he did it again 5 minutes later, and relogged, only to find out an Aran now lagged me with his stupid ass dog. :/

Thanks for that tip, though. Everyone in henesys uses those pineappleing unicorns. Maybe a quick restart will shift the lag to some ugly mount that no one uses.

When I used to PVP frequently there was a very specific mechanic that would be on at almost all hours of the god damn day. It was pretty clear as to why he won 90% of the time.
It's even worse when it's a corsair's battleship.
I feel sorry for them, really. As if Nexon hasn't pineappled them enough, it also goes and makes sure nobody wants to party them. Or they're allowed to party, as long as they don't fight o.o

Main reason I stopped bothering to PvP was mount lag from mechs. They have multiple types of mount lag, mounting/dismounting, changing modes, and/or just MOVING. I'd be forced to either quit, or wait the round out in the safe zone if I got a decent scored before they came in.

I had some interesting experiences on my WH to make me believe it's somewhat of a resource issue, but otherwise I don't have much confirmation.

When I returned to Maple and started on El Nido, I chose to main a Wild Hunter because the jaguar interested me. In the months that I played her, I never really experienced mount lag from the jaguar, or any other mount that passed me by on my main computer. There was one instance, where I was doing a spyware scan on my computer while still trying to play Maple, that I experienced severe lag on my jaguar. When I paused the scan, the lag went away.
Similarly, if I played on my pomegranatety laptop, I almost always experienced lag from the jaguar, however, if I recall correctly, I was able to kill enough processes to relieve this and play normally. Both my main computer and my laptop were running Windows XP.
After I upgraded my computer to Windows 7, I started experiencing jaguar mount that was only fixed by relogging until something else was laggy. :|
I do remember having a hard time getting into PQs though, and a lot of the time I went to visit Justin in-game he'd just yell at me to get the pineapple off of my jaguar.

Every time I feel like going back to MS to see what's new and say Hi! to some friends I check Angry Dome for MS related threads.
It makes me feel sane again.
Ikr, this pomegranate has been going on for months. Walking through some of the "better" FM spots, I sometimes see people spamming that pomegranate trying to lag out people resetting their store. Few weeks ago some guy smega his store location, so I went to it... there were about 30 people there, store was full, then in came like 2-3 douches on their mounts jumping around, mounting/dismounting and having a laugh. The amount of people in that room dropped to like 10.
Feel sorry for the classes that need mounts, my corsair buddy said he couldn't even get parties anymore.
I was bossing at Chaos Zakum when this Corsair starts to lag us. We yell at him to get off the mount, and he does. Then he gets back on. One of us dies, and we yell at him to get off. He then goes off about how it's our fault our computers suck and it is not his fault. He then proceeded to get on his ship, and lag us all to death.
I really hate when people go "WAH WAH GET OFF SHIP YOU LAGZ ME" (yes people say that sometimes). It makes me look forward to Justice.
