Colress and the Ballpoint Pen
I made this account and decided to introduce myself yesterday. Some people wanted to see what else I draw, so..
Oh, how I wish I could make some money off of doing what I like! However, I lack confidence in my abilities and I'm no good at reaching out to others, so.. -Enjoy the fail that is my current art-
Re: Colress and the Ballpoint Pen
Ballpoint pen has got to be the most fun medium to draw with. Your stuff is wonderful! I love the shading. I know how you feel about the lack of confidence in your abilities, I suffer very badly from that myself. :|
Re: Colress and the Ballpoint Pen
I find it ironic you lack confidence yet you're using a medium where you're unable to erase ― you're making confident lines and that's a pretty big step already~!

Re: Colress and the Ballpoint Pen
Your artwork is great though, it's very nicely shaded and the Pokemon are readily recognizable. Look at that cute Bulbasaur! :f2:

You have nothing to fear, your work is impressive.
Re: Colress and the Ballpoint Pen
That Milotic is fantastic, I love the shading of your work and like Raizoo said, even if you lack confidence yourself, your work really shows confidence itself.

Register an account on furaffinity, post some samples of your work, and offer clean portraits for eight bucks a pop.
Good friend of mine did that, no I'm not naming names, and brings in around an extra eighty or so a week on a good run.
Plus working with different styles is great practice.
Furries love giving artists money. Its somewhat of a creepy fandom, but goddamn do they have disposable income.
Same concept applies to deviantart, but people kinda act like plantains on there.
Re: Colress and the Ballpoint Pen
^ Not really interested in that subject and wouldn't be willing to get paid for drawing something I'm quite uncomfortable with, unfortunately.
Re: Colress and the Ballpoint Pen
I enjoy your pen shading so much. *__* Wonderful lines too!
Re: Colress and the Ballpoint Pen
Awww yeah, traditional AND a pen user. You're A-OKAY in my books.
I've seen your work on Basil, so this may sound old to you.

Excuse my language but that looks f*cking amazing.
Re: Colress and the Ballpoint Pen
Awesome! There's something I really like in the way you shadow with a ballpoint pen.
Nice to see more artists here in SP~ Welcome!
Re: Colress and the Ballpoint Pen

Actually, this isnt too bad of an idea. I know of two people that do stuff like this (one is a furry himself, and makes costumes for people, another is a girl that works doing a lot of commissions), and I know that they make pretty decent side money. You may even be able to work mostly with humanized pokemon, who knows.
Re: Colress and the Ballpoint Pen
aww yee, pure pen style.
really liking it, especially the shading since that is something i suck very bad at xD

I think Shaymin must be one of my favourite Grass Pokemon so you automatically win for posting such a cute drawing. :f2:
